Coming Back to Dark Eldar, i need to be super agreessive to beat competitve armies these days. I am getting the DE Battleforce soon in like 2 weeks if money allows. After that What would be the units i need to purchase to create a list that gets there the fastest. Right now from my 6 months experience with DE im thinking Lots of Wyches in raiders with haywire grenades or the Jetbike Spam. your thoughts on this, what do you think fits almost perfectly/ perfectly with this build and why? Thanks guys for your support, appreciate it Smile

Warriors in Raiders with splinter racks should be very useful, too.

Sorry, but why not find out yourself, what suits you? I'm perfectly fine, giving advice, when I could,
but do you really want a list, posted in the internet, instead of doing it yourself?

Lots of venoms, jetbikes and ravagers.

You cant do spam now competitevely, venoms ough to be that, but now you are better with some mix. Haywyches in venom is a real solid core of hyper agressive army. Throw some scoring squads also.

Well, a raider with aethersail is the fastest unit in the game.

However, I am having a lot of success with the Duke and a flock of deep striking wyches with Haywire grenades. Ravagers (or dark lances) just don't cut it anymore.

Be careful using your jetbikes for alpha strike.

Assuming you are able to do a 1st turn bladevane (there may not be room), its tempting but often not a good idea. They are not cheap, they draw fire and die to mass small arms and ignores cover.

You don't wont to sacrifice them for one bladevane attack that may only kill a few manz. Only do so if you can get them behind some LOSB terrain.

Reavers are so useful for obj grabbing you want them around all game. This is where they really shine. I would use venoms for AI alpha strike instead.

Oh so true!

I can't tell you how many times I've fallen victim to the temptation to go aggressive with my jet bikes! It is rarely a good idea. They are an excellent tactical unit. But need to be played as such.

Yeah, you kinda want to finish squads with them and preferably end up out of assault, rapid fire and template range.

So you will need lots of splinter cannons and lances to soften targets for them. But they are ideal units to pump pain tokens into. Sweet small home scoring units are their target.

I also play an aggressive force, Kabalites in raiders with splinter-racks are awesome at cleaning up most standard infantry you will come across, as well as monstrous creatures. I think that sometimes 10 Wyches in a Raider is overlooked, just one Raider load can clear away infantry or tie the opponents shootiest units up in close combat while your Kabalites and Haywire Wyches in Venoms do the killing.

I find that aggressive armies are often thought of as a load of super fast, super killy units that have to be up close and personal to succeed. I don't think this is always the case and I prefer to have specialist units to assist my aggressive ones. Along with my Wyches and Kablites I take a raider of Wracks with a Haemy for elite killing, and a Cronos to ensure my Kabalites and Wyches are at the top of their game.

Lots of Wyches can do the trick but without support they can be wrecked very quickly by a canny opponent and you can find yourself getting almost tabled by turn two ( I speak from experience  tongue

As far as Jetbikes go, one unit can be enough, If you fill up on Jetbikes and you don't get them within range to do serious damage turn one, chances are they will be close enough for your opponent to shoot them to pieces as they are quite fragile. If they make up a huge portion of your army you can risk loosing allot of points worth of units very quickly. One unit can be good to support your Raiders as, provided your opponent knows whats good for them, they will be ignored as your Raiders are often the first thing to be targeted, hence allowing the Jetbikes some freedom to get close as they are effectively ignored while the opponent is distracted by the Raiders.

I hope this helped. You might get better advice if we were to know what sort of points Range you are looking at.  Smile
