I can't imagine Skimmers beeing nerfed, not when their best selling lines (of xeno) rely on them.

If there is such a strategem, I would be taking the strategem that would allow us to have nightfight. And anything that will increase the probabilities of my stuff surviving until they reached their targets. And that is assuming all the things in the rumours are exactly as it is. The best time to strategize our adaptation techniques for 6th should start at around a month before the rulebook comes out. Anything out here now is just too random and uncertain.

We will all have to adapt to the new edition in our own ways (or not as I found out to my delight at times).

I actually would wait for "full ruleset", Rulebook + FAQ, in case it would [probably will] be poorly written.

Writing an upgrade that igores the reduced bs for shooting at fast targets isn't any different from writing one that ignores the 4+ cover save from flat out, and aside from weaposn that always ignore cover, there is only one unit thta does that (the IG Hydra). Flat out changed to reduced bs would actually benefit us as we could benefit from flickerfield and moving flat out at the same time (exept against stuff like the Necorn Death Ray or Stormlord's lightning strikes, the former of which autohits units in the line and the latter always hits on 6)

Well i pray for 6th edition in AV regard. If it will indeed make all glances from lances hit like normal hits - thats huge. That will at once justify their cost, which is not justified right now i think. I think we will be more glassy and more hammer in 6th ed.

And if meltas will lose their +1 to damage table , thats also hit for the melta lance.

And if we will have nightfight all game stratagem that will at once make all those movement phase damage things (reavers , void bomb , chain-snares , tantalus) far more appealing , cause they dont give a damn about nightfight spotting rules.

given the type of rumours flying about, I'd consider running venoms still, with a full loadout of incubi. Warriors might become more plentiful with the change in rapidfire. The duke will still be a staple, and the razorwing will probably see more action. I'm still not sure if I'll favour hellions over beasts or the other way around but either way a re-roll on the 2d6 assault range would be interesting.


but if I could combine DE with tau.. holy moley.
