Ok so here's the deal. There will be a fun all night tourney at my local shop. There will be 16 players, 3 rounds, with 4 players on each table ending on turn 5. This is no teams, just a blood bath between 4 corners. It doesn't look like a good recipe for us DE players. There will be objectives which is really good since I would be screwed if they were planning on doing their normal kill points they do for this tournament in the past. (first time for me going to it.)

My list...


HQ
Urien Rakarth - 190


Elites
3 Grotesques, Aberation with venom blade, +1 St and a liquifier gun with Urien in a Raider - 190


Troops
10 Kabolite Warriors, splinter cannon, Raider with Splinter Racks -  170
10 wracks, 2 liquifier guns, Raider - 190
5 warriors, in a venom with duel splinter cannons - 110
5 warriors, in a venom with duel splinter cannons - 110

Heavy Support
Ravager - 105

Ravager - 105

Talos Pain Engine, Twin linked Liquifier gun - 105


Some things I want to consider...

Should i bring an extra talos instead of a ravager? The idea being, small board and a lot of opponents. I could go last and see 3 people go before me and possibly knock it right out of the sky. The other heavy support I was thinking of bringing was a razorwing to combat any flyers. The normal group usually will bring a flyer in their tournament lists but I'm not sure how much I will see of that in this tournament since their will be then 3 other people with potential flyers which could mean just a bust in the air with another war instead of being able to concentrate on blowing some people up on the ground. Not sure what to expect on this one.

Do I split up the wracks into 2 groups of 5 and put them in venoms? That would help with some splinter fire. Only issue is then where do i get the extra points to pay for 2 transports instead of the 1 Raider?

I am a little worried about this tournament turning into a bust for me since my stuff is not meant to last long. If I hit a player hard and fast, and scare the other 2 players then they will probably both turn on me and try to take me out. Also, if I go last I have to some how find a way to keep all my transports or big guns alive long enough to see them do some damage.

ok so one thing that I found out that is different than anticipated is that the board will be 2 4X6 boards crossed in a + shape so that each player will have their own deployment zone. This makes one enemy across the table very far apart from you but 2 others kiddy corner from you.

Also, waiting to get info on how the objectives will be, but from the sounds of it you can expect multiple objectives, just not sure how they will placed or just how many.

Sounds like you'll be miles away from people. I'd bring night shields.

that sounds like it will be a lot of fun. seems like a sold list. i think it would come down to a lot of tactics. It will be a lot about your target priority. i would at least see about getting night shields on the ravagers and maybe the venoms. maybe drop the liquifier guns on the wracks and maybe a couple wracks to get the points for them. I think you will mainly only have to worry about 2 opponents because of deployment. Of course it all comes down to what happens in the game itself.

the way the board is set up you can literally be within charge range of your apponents on either side of you and then a far distance away from the one across from you so NS probably wont help me much. Although, it might help against melta range or smaller arms fire.
