| Hi everyone ! When i started 40k, i was hesitating between the chaos marines and the dark eldars... The other players told me that it was extremly difficult to do anything with'em, so i took the chaos. But i bought some DE stuff, just for the pleasure of having some stuff of that army. Then came the new edition... that's the moment i choosed to really begin with that army. Knowing that i wasn't ashamed of having the 3rd ed bad looking DE, everyone wanted to sold me their stuff that was rotting in their closets. And here i am with my army... for the colors, i was influenced by the FW scheme on the raven This is a pic of all my stuff, but that was some months ago, i added some new things since : I will not show everything in detail but here are some of my favourite : And the last one i painted : _________________ "There is no good. | Those Incubi are looking great! It's a bit hard to see how the Scourges look, but I think I like them too. | |

| New stuff this morning ! Here's a 3rd ed Urien which i will play as a Haemonculi ancient. I don't know why, but the colors were awfull for every pic i've take, especially for the "cube". The next one will be a ravager or an Asdrubael vect... don't know which one i'll finish first, but i will paint at least one of 'em t'ill the end of the day. _________________ "There is no good. | Thank you ! I didn't realised how much points i had 'til i made my first apocalypse. i raised something like 12 000 points in less than 4 months... Well, no Asdrubael for now, i was a bit lazy and made an another ravager instead : _________________ "There is no good. There is no evil. There is only flesh." | |

| Glad you like it !The idea of the "Ahrrrrr" prow isn't of me, i've seen it on someone's blog a long time ago. it's a really easy freehand, cause you can use the details of the scales to make the drawing. And once it is done, you can sharpened the edges using black before painting the major colour of the prow. Easy way, Best way _________________ "There is no good. There is no evil. | Cool army, a lot of raiders & ravagers lol, what's even cooler is that it's a purple army to, just like mine : D. The way the purple is done is excellent, I wish more people understood these bright highlights work so well on the dark eldar.
The freehand on the raider is vey cool, the blades on the incubi the same, they're very well painted, those incubi are very impressive.
Feel free to post more stuff, this logs is certianly worth watching. _________________ The Dark Moon KabalThe Biggest Kabal ever, be sure to check it out if you haven't, old and new units. | A beautiful army Herbert. You have clearly put a lot of effort into collecting over the years and painting. Your old-school vehicles are fantastic, absolutely luv 'em!
Cheers. | |

| Thank you ! I do not call that an effort when people come to you saying "Is it you that crazy guy who likes old DE ? Got some and you're the only one who could buy 'em. Got something like 3 000 points, 70€ and it's yours, is it ok for you ?" True story ^^
Today, i'll still work on my vehicules, i hope i'm gonna make at least 2 of them till this evening. _________________ "There is no good. There is no evil. There is only flesh."

| The Incubi really pop out, but the overall army scheme is great as well. I'm a sucker for bright Dark Eldar colour schemes, as I think they perfectly display the haughty show-off nature of them. | Post more close ups of the finished stuff, all of it, if it's painted, trust me, it's worth displaying.
I Still haven't got anywhere near 10k of painted dark eldar, though if I start doing vehicles, things should pick up pretty quickly. I've played apocalypse, not with my entire force, with a part of it, it takes quite a long time, setting up my entire force takes a full day, litterally a full day, it's impossible to play with such a force. I would say, you need to split up an army into several pieces, something like 8k-10k pts is still playable, past that, it's too much to move for one guy. To make the battle go smoother, you need to split it up, otherwise apocalypse becomes troublesome. You could eventually have friends who just move the minis.
Make pictures of that game in august, no excuse, we want many many pictures! _________________ The Dark Moon KabalThe Biggest Kabal ever, be sure to check it out if you haven't, old and new units. | Thanks to both of you ^^ Okay... pictures... noted !I've kind of passed by the problem of mooving my stuff by playing only motorized units ^^. About that apocalypse, we'll be a lot of players around the table, there will be something like 200 000 points full painted for each size. We have rent a big place for three days. I'm glad to have one of the biggest armies. But an IG one is the biggest, he's gonna play an imperator and twenty five AA manticore turrets. I trully wish i'll not be against him... It's our 5th ed of our August apocalypse, or as we call it "l'apo d'Août de Bezak", and we are better organized each year, quicker and funnier. Even if there's more and more players and miniatures. _________________ "There is no good. There is no evil. There is only flesh."
