| is it supposed to look all dinged up with chipped paint? cause i notice the Kabalites seem to take better care of their armour, than their transport. other than that, it looks spot on, and if it's supposed to look dinged up then it's even more so. | |

| Yep It dies every battle it has ever participated in, so I went for a chipped effect on the hull. Now that you mention it, the kabalites do seem to look less weathered than the vehicle. They must have been hiding behind railings every time someone shoots them. The cowards Thanks for the feedback! Got true born and scourges on the way too | |

Hey, the cardboard protects I agree that the Kabalites would look great with the same weathering. Nice bold scheme really. Weathering will keep it from looking too CWE goody-goody. I like where your army is going.

| CWE goody-goody? Now that would be tragic I went with white because I wanted an original colour scheme. Glad its picking up some complements | |

| White DE is always impressive; and you've done a very good job on the white paint (usually quite a hard colour). Will be nice to see how you will make the true's look, and scourges are always nice to look at (really love their models). Keep it up! | |

| Alright, here's an update. another vehicle I'm afraid as I can't get any clear shots on my infantry. Absolutely terrible with cameras. Also due an unfortunate accident, it seems that my pot of white paint has vanished... will have to get more sometime to finish those scourges. well here's a venom. well that's all for now... If anyone knows how to get a clearer shot on a Samsung camera I would appreciate it if you can tell me. | |

| interesting look, kinda has that "well we were flying along see, and all of a sudden a sand storm popped up right in front of me, look what it did to my ship" windswept feel to it. i give it 2 screams from an agonizer. | |

| Thanks SebastionSynn the sand blasted look was what I was going for and I hope I have succeeded. @SaintSpirit: sorry about that! didn't catch your comment there, must have passed it up... Thanks for the complement though. I'm not sure when I be able to get a clear shot on infantry though. I'll try fixing the settings on the camera. | |

| Just another update everyone Finally got some halfway decent shots on the trueborn so here they are: They're not based yet as I haven't got sand for them yet but I'm hoping to have some nice sand blasted bases eventually. Close ups of individuals: Now with their venom: And finally a scourge WIP That's all for now. Should have that scourge done by next weekend if my schedule allows it. | |

| Looks very nice indeed. Only thing I'd say you should fix would be the bases; apart from them it is looking very good. | |

| Not bad at all, this white is very interesting, I'm intrigued on hwo you pulled it off? Is there a particular color you used for the worn out areas or just less white coats on some spots?
How exactly did you do the white hull of the venom?
The raider also looks pretty nice.
I definietely like this army. _________________ The Dark Moon KabalThe Biggest Kabal ever, be sure to check it out if you haven't, old and new units. The Biggest Dark Eldar Apocalypse force you'll find on the net. My Eldar Facebook Page, feel free to join. All Eldar factions allowed!

| @ Khain mor- Thanks for asking about that. The paint scheme is actually extremely simple to pull off. I usually base coat the model in black first then apply a layer of Tallarn Flesh (It's called something else now. Not sure though) on where the white will be. I then add multiple layers of watered down ceramic white or white scar to create the top coat. I usually apply it in streaks to allow some of the brown to show through. From there I use a very bristly dry brush and work at the edges of the armor/ hull to produce the chips and weathering. The venom is slightly different because I also used the old Graveyard Earth paint that GW had a while back, so it appears a little more sandblasted than usual. I have so far been unable to replicate this effect on the other vehicle due to the paint changes GW implemented. I can't really find a correct substitute as of now. Sorry for the big block of text btw. I can get a little wordy sometimes... | |

| OK thanks, it's a very nice effect, not really what I'll use for my Kabal, but certainly very nice to know about this particular technique. Don't worry about writing too much I write 3 times more when I I reply usually :p. This time is an exception _________________ The Dark Moon KabalThe Biggest Kabal ever, be sure to check it out if you haven't, old and new units. | As promised, here is the finished scourge: side view: View of the wings: That's the scourge everyone, will begin working on his buddies (rivals more like) and some Kabalite warriors. Oh and thanks to Calyptra for that conversion chart. After the one in the GW store disappeared I wasn't sure where to look. Silly me | |

| Hello, a small update. Here's a converted count as Archon WIP The finished figurine will be holding a skull to represent a soul trap. Trophes from the hellion kit will be hanging from her hell staff. I intend to use her as Qa'leh the mistress of blades. A dark muse, sacriligious!! Just thought it would be fun Any way here she is... https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img109/282/9bdn.jpg | |

| Well, I have been hidden for awhile it seems and I now deem it time to emerge from the flesh pits once more. While skulking in the depths of the Webway, I have been hard at work on progressing through my army. I am armed with a new assortment of paints and have been sharpening my brushings all of the recent. So here's what I have been up to... First up is my WIP Ravager who is looking a little pale and lonely without his buddy, who I will start work upon after the Razorwing. had to tinker with the brightness on these as the pictures got ridiculously bright when I transferred them over. The brightness didn't do the white enough justice. up next is my venom from the vow waaaaaaaaaaaaay back, its fully completed and I have another in works in fact. sorta tough to see the chipping. White DE are hard to get good pictures of. The base is finished as well and for some odd reason appears to look airbrushed whenever I give it a good look. See below. that brings us on the bases I suppose... here they are I went for a rocky mesa scene for my basing to tie in with the brown weathering on the vehicle hulls and I'm pleased with the look to say the least. the razorwing has been based and the big nasty himself is in progress. I'll keep it a surprise though Razorwing base Moving on into fast attack I've began ploughing my way through my big batch of reavers and this guy is the first through the gate. He was the first thanks to his insane balls of steel he displayed in a game where he held up supreme master Azrael for two turns worth of combat. I still might go back and add further chipping to his bike just to give it a more gritty feel to it. We'll see. and now, we have the BEASTPACK!!! like all of one Khymera this is a conversion kit bashed from multiple dark elf and the rider is one of the raider passengers. I'm not quite sure what to think of it and would be grateful for some feed back on how it looks. I think he need a cloak of sorts but I'm unsure where I can find a good one. I'm open to suggestions. In future I plan to use hellions with their hooks unto the saddles to make them look like their riding standing up. Got like twenty more to do wells that's all for the moment, stay tuned for finished razorwing and also the Archon from the last post as well. | |
