| As those who follow me know, I have a pretty successful 1200pt list. I have quite a few plans to extend to 1800pts, but there is one I am unsure of.
3x5 wyches, haywires, venom SC 3x5 kabalites, blasters, venom SC
3 Ravagers, all lances.
2x4 Incubi, Haemi, Venom SC 4 Grots, Raider, FF, Haemi Ancient.
Utterly Fluffless of course.
I'm worried there is a hammer componant missing, maybe merge the two Incubi units?
It was just a bit of a throw together.

| I was running a list with double grots and large incubi unit at 1850 for awhile. Its hella fun but suffers from too much pts invested in CC at times, i.e. 'splinterfire does it better'. Ive since dropped down to 1500 pt lists for most play and either run 1 of each or just double grots and for me this is the magic number.
Anyway my vote is combine the incubi lose the ancient and 1 haemie and get an archon.
Also Im curious how the small incubi units ive seen in your lists get by without assault grenades? Do you play very lite on terrain perhaps?
I ask because I dont like being forced to drop an exta 100+ pts and dedicate an uber killy archon to an already murderously deadly unit just to keep their initiative value (and because then I cant put him with my grots). However the majority of my assaults are either from, through, or into cover. So far ive just been running a larger incubi unit (with and without haemie) for more staying power and taking a few lumps on the way in.. it works decent and usually still murders what I assault but occasionally it backfires if armour rolls go badly.

| I think I'd rather have a dark gate/shattershard/crucible and a venom blade on a regular haemi than take an ancient. | |

We play BRB Terrain rules. I just dont often see peoples assault troops hugging cover, and incubi can kill none combat troops in cover without much trouble.
Feed them a wych unit to get them out if you must....

| That's what I figured and same here although I do end up being forced to charge through terrain pretty commonly especially if a combat capable unit can also shoot , then they use intervening terrain. Also at times even non assault troops step up. I'm talking orks, poisoned gants, anything with an HQ etc. I guess its just something we gotta live with or dedicate an archon to them. That said they're still such good value compared to say death company or similar ill continue to bring large squads of incubi. | |

| Played around a bit Lose the two Haemis. Make the incubi 5 strong with squad leader upgrade.
Give the Ancient a Liquifier, the Grots one too, and a venom bladed acothyst
need three more venoms, another bf and more incubi, but thats looking like my 1200pt list
