Hey guys, I was wondering what Super Glues you use for Resin models, partly asking for myself but also for my boyfriend since he hasn't worked with Finecast or other Resins before. Any help will be greatful, thank you =]

I use Loctite Super Glue with the max precision bottle.

The downside is beware of sticking your fingers to the model or each other and be sure of your positioning before gluing because once it's set that's it.

Loctite have a super glue called Power Easy Gel, which doesn't set as quickly as regular super glue, allowing for repositioning and doesn't stick your fingers together. More importantly, it's low odour and solvent-free.

I'm going to stress that last point. After foolishly assembling the contents of a Battleforce in a non-ventilated area, I developed a sensitivity to super glue due to overexposure. Hell, the raider alone was probably enough to cause it. Not to sound alarmist, but this can happen to anyone - it may take days, weeks, or even years of using the stuff, but will happen with enough exposure, so us hobbyists are typically at higher risk. Now, whenever I get a whiff of regular super glue, my nasal passages go haywire and I develop symptoms similar to hay fever that last for several days.

I can't stress enough, whichever glue you decide on, make sure it's low-odour.

I've heard a lot about Gorilla glue, for those in the UK it is available at Hobbycraft at a very marked up price.

+1 to Loctite.

I personally use the Ultra Control Gel, because it's a tad more durable than typical superglue, but in general Loctite is where it's at.

The one thing about gorilla glue, make sure you get the super glue not normal gorilla glue or the two part glue, The normal and two part expand as they cure. The thing I like about G.S.S. is after curing it still has flex. Making models more transport and drop forgiving.

I prefer gorilla Glue super glue, but one of the things no one mentioned yet is zap-a-gap glue + zip kicker.

Zap-a-gap comes in a variety of thicknesses from super liquid to thick gel. Zip kicker is made by zap-a-gap and is a spray that you use to rapidly solidify super glue.

Use the glue and posit the piece right, then spray with zip kicker and it'll automatically solidify.
