Hey everybody, this is my 2nd draft army list for a competitive DE list. I havent played since 3rd edition, but I have found myself with an excess amount of time on my hands recently & so have familiarised myself w/ the new edition, codex, faqs etc. Take a look and lemme know what you think. I crunched an obscene amount of numbers to try to determine which was a more effective tarpit - small cheap units of wracks or small, cheap units of wyches - had to go with the wyches by a nose.

HQ -
x2 haemonculus - 1 w/ Liqui gun, 1/ shattershard - 125

Elites -
x3 trueborn - w// 3 blasters, venom w/ 2nd cannon - 146

So the basic idea is Alpha strike, but not necessarily on the first turn. I hope that by minimizing the ranged threat to my units by targeting their ranged nasties from a safe distance or tying them up (as well as any nasty assault troops) for a bit with the wyches while everything else proceeds to blow the s&%t out of everything that I should be able to do a kind of multi-turn alpha strike in that, I destroy anything that can potentially harm me before I can act again, targeting only part of my opponent's force at a time to maximize effectiveness. Maybe combine with a flanking move to target half his force at a time.
It also seems to me like I have alot of wyches for a shooty army, but the way I saw it, I could put either 5 warriors with a blaster in a venom or 5 wyches. The shootiness is not terribly augmented by teh 1 blaster shot that still requires me to risk the venom by getting relatively close, so I went for 85% of the max shooty capacity to instead have a valuable wych-pit

oh and the reavers are only there because its been mentioned that they make a very 'high value target' in the opponents eyes, mostly because they are fast and AT, rather than because they are actually effective & should soak up some fire I hope at a key moment.

Everyone seems to be all about the flickerfield, but when you get a 5+ cover save from movinag ANY DISTANCE w/ the jink special rule, I really dont see the point.
