| From GW-fanworld.net via Warseer, the new Finecast Haemonculus

Perhaps a slight surprise, this bodes well for all fans of Coven themed armies.
Thoughts and feedback? The model is rift with Wargear options which to me is only a good thing. Most promisingly it has a Liquifier, perhaps the most common choice for would be Haemonculi players.
It feels a bit static, a bit 2D but that is from seeing a photo of a photo, you can never make up your own mind before holding one, painted and new. _________________ Sky Serpent - Drukhari 40k My Facebook blog, follow for battle reports, tactics, painting and conversions | |

| This model is awesome, but is going to need massive reposing. | |

| I dont like th pose of the model. It looks to be very 2 dimensional. Just like the models of old. (ragnar blackmane springs to mind)
I suppose its nice that the model can hold a variety of wargear - and I hope there's more in the kit. However, bescause of the pose he doesn't look threatning, but look more like he's showing you all his great toys.

| This is the first DE character model I've been even slightly disappointed in. As others have pointed out it's not bad per se, it's just very, very static. The gun looks too chunky. It's not as refined as it could be. Reminds me of the old range. | |

| Love the body and head but the arms need some work. I think with a quick repositioning and an arm swap for the blade and it will look sweet. | |

| I think this model has great potential. I think it only seems flat because it is a photo and most people will change their minds once they see it "in the flesh". | |

| I was thinking about this guy after having read the review of finecast, and something jumped into my head. Is it possible the arms are straight out to the sides because it is relatively easy to bend them into any angle we like?
If this is the case, I'm starting to like this model a lot more than I did at first sight. _________________ KR

| You'd have to heat it first but yes the material is relatively bendy. Also: | |

| This model have three parts (body with nintendo glove and knife + lower arms), so "2d" pose is forced by mold limitations. Anyway I would like to see somthing like Deciever, but that would require another sprue... Krovin: Well... unless You would do that skillfully arm would be like this " ( " instead of this " L ". Also, there is pretty big chance that inside model you will have boubble, which would alter possibilities you can bend it dramatically. But yes, this would be possible for... I dont know, ~90% of models? I don't like model. Looks like Madonna-Hannibal Lecter crossover. Pretty terrifing, no? Cut the heads, swith bodies, change clothes... I'll stop here, OK? | |

| I think it could have done without all the arms.

| Yeah, that's what I meant.
The lower arms get in the way of the upper pair... so you're obliged to put them either straight out to the sides or angled upwards. _________________ Fetch me another plaything. This one seems to have broken.

| Looking at the photo, I think the bottom set of arms are actually placed on his back sump. I think the out stretched arms are done by design not necessity _________________ Forum Rules, please read. Dark City Mod Squad ahahahahha. I'm the nicest moderator. Don't think so? AHAHAHHAHHAHA! | All I can do is look at the "Liquifier" and see the old Stinger Pistol. I rather liked the magic wand blowtorch look of the old Liquifier. Than again, I'm being an old fuddy duddy about most of the Coven stuff - it's a little too glossy Geiger feel and not enough Pinhead Hellraiser feel in my opinion. I'll probably stick to my old figures over this fellow. | |

| I bought a blister of Cephalyx Overlords for Warmachine. £13 for 3 models rather than £10 for one and they look pretty decent as Haemonculi too. I don't do tourneys or play in GW stores so there's no problems there either. | |

| How is their size compared to GW models, especially the ones form the Dark Eldar range? Do they fit in size and proportion? _________________ Visit my project log [last update: February 10th]: The Ebon Fire | |

| They are slim but due to the fact they are all robes and mechanical arms they fit in nicely. Not as bulky as Wyches or Kabalites which I think suits the Haemonculi well. | |

| I know that mine are coming in the mail, and in my opinion are way better than the old "Vlad the Impaler" style. I can't look at the one with the pistol without thinking of ol' dracula. The sizing may be a bit larger, but thats fine by me. _________________ Lysis

| Anyone else notice that the Haemonculus model in the picture on the GW site seems to have an Etheral "node" in his forehead? I guess we got some of those Ethereals from the Tau after all! _________________ It's our galaxy, you just die in it...
