So I've run out of GW plastic glue once again, as I was about to build my spiffy new Talos and Cronos over the weekend. As my local GW store is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays (and I don't want to spend that much cash on such a small bottle of glue), does anyone have any recommendations for an alternative?

I use Humbrol Liquid Poly. Not had any problems with it other than that the brush doesn't stay attached to the lid!

I use Revelll Contacta professional, it is cheaper than GW plastic glue and has a better delivery system through a narrow metal tube so the chance of mess is reduced (rather like the GW thin plastic glue). You should be able to get it at any toy/modelling shop that sells model aircraft kits etc

The only downside to it is the metal tube occasionally becomes blocked and needs to be cleared out with a pin

Glue recommendations BSI-107

This stuff is about 3-4 dollars for a one ounce bottle. I've been using it for a decade or so. Awesome.

WOW thats one long lasting pot of glue!! Very Happy

mine only last a few weeks! how do you get a decade out of it? lol!

sorry i digress!

The revel contacta pro is the best stuff ive used it since it was released back in the day! never had a problem and the delivery system like Spiney Norman says is spot on! the clogging issue does present an issue at times but i use a bit of thin wire and push it down the tube! that way when ya pull it out the tube is clear! so yes go for that stuff its awesome.

For clean plastic, I use plastic cement. For metal and ragged or dirty plastic, I used super glue, Gale Force 9 for the smaller sutff and Gorilla Glue if I really want a seal.

Glue recommendations Model-master-liquid-cement

The plastic cement is sweet. You can put together 20 models in as many minutes, all of the fiddly bits on. It is much harder to go back, though, since it creates a permanent bond the only way is to slice, and you'll lose plastic. So don't cement unless you are sure you aren't going to swap anything,

I seriously doubt he means he has been using the same bottle for ten years haha. But I also agree this stuff is the best. It dries quicker than GW so you don't have to spend two minutes delicately holding Kabalite Warriors arms in place before in dries.
