Hey, if you play fair, you're not playing your Dark Eldar correctly. I'm in the process of creating a Dark Eldar themed soundtrack to play when I'm gaming. Hopefully it would distract my opponent. If not, atleast it puts me in the correct mood.

I dunno... The line from Pirates of the Caribbean comes to mind:

Orlando Bloom: "Cheater!"
Johnny Depp: "Pirate."

Boobs are an archon's best friend. In so many more ways than one.

Actually this is pretty standard procedure, especially when You encounter Monolith/Blessed Raider and You don't have Haywire Blasters. You can easely get S10 AND TS (or not if I'm correct, tho I don't care to check for sure, it's 4am here) units between You and target.

Without context, I thought about 9 Bloodbrides retinue with 3 shardnets...

Well, at leats that would save me A LOT of work with My female based Kabal...

I concur with blocking, it's a life saver against things you just don't want to deal with right away.

As for Prows + Flickers, I vouch for them too. Tank Shock is a invaluable tool to help get enemies into bad situations. Like you have blasts/templates? Tank Shock them into those nice lil formations ripe for Teardrops and Circles. Smile (Whats this, Lash-lite? Yes!) Helps vs anything that tries to hide (I'm seeing you Necrons) and even gives us options vs the likes of Monoliths if we're that desperate.

Hmm... I guess including Shock Prowls Raiders, then Shatterfielding enemies is way to go if You use Razorwings/Voidravens.

Also, awesome avatar Smurfy. Don't know why this cat is dressed in "Toast with Redberry Jam" outfit, nor why he fly in space or have some sort of rainbow warp drive... but it's still awesome :3

1st turn balefire move:

Infiltrate Mandrakes at a max range of 27" of your tabletop. Deploy a Raider/Venom with atleast a Heamonculus at 12" from your tabletop. Then 1st turn move 12" towards the mandrakes, heamonculus steps out 2". Heamonculus joins the Mandrakes and hands them a PT. They are now able to use balefire early in the game.

Extra:

This tactic on itself is not very interesting and seems like alot of trouble to give Mandrakes balefire. But...

Equip the heamonculus with a WWP. Have him drop the WWP in the shooting phase. Voila... Something you probably wanted to do anyways when you use WWPs.

But (I can hear you say) I still don't want my heamy to just die like that! Well then, as we all know, have him screened by the Raider he came in and perhaps the squad of either Wracks or Grotesques he came with. I also recomment presenting treath from the opposing flank with tankbusting units (like Reavers with blasters and/or heatlances).

Hey, that's clever idea. Block enemy scouts, then deploy WWP and have unit that may drag enemies away.

Bringing Boobs is for teenie Archons Cool

My second army is a Pre Heresy Emperor's Children, and i swapped the inside of one of my dreadnought Drop Pods with a Statue. A Statue of a small naked boy. That'll gross off even the big boys XD

the Archon in me, comes out in all of my work XD

As for tactics, i guess is never pick a fair fight has already been mentioned, but as it is so important, i just wanted to recall it again!

Wow, I must be a boring player tongue

My favorite tactic that isn't really cheeky is to flat-out a raider with 3 grotesques, an Archon and Urien Rakkarth directly at the enemy line and then aether sail even closer. The enemy has no choice but to deal with the raider that really doesn't care if it crashes. The following turn the unit has their choice to charge whatever they want not needing to fleet because they are so close (and nobody wants to charge them either).

What my opponent doesn't get is that when the raider crashes and the passengers are sitting in 4+ cover with FnP and Fearless and every model is unique for wound shenanigans. I've seen my opponent spend 80% of their fire power to take down that raider and hurt the passengers while the following wych raiders are untouched.

Kinda like a Grot bomb.

This, good sir, is always a good plan. If you do not have a girlfriend, bring a lady friend, or if you have neither, take your sister. IF you have none of the options above, go by plain skill. Razz

But back to the topic;

I tend to use a slingshot effect whenever I want to get a squad or an Archon down and dirty in close combat. In a way I kind of abused the IC and also pile in rules for close combat.

The purpose of this maneuver to allow you to assault with a unit that would otherwise be too far away. Let's think of this scenario in mind; I see a squad of my Wyches approaching a unit of Space Marines. It is the start of my movement phase. My Wyches are 19 inches away from the Marines, and I have an Archon in between the two squads. At first glance, it appears my Wychess cannot charge this turn, they can move up six, fleet six and charge six, but they are too far away.. However my Archon is located just at the point where the Archon could charge the squad without any problems.

This in itself opens up a lot of possibilities for the Archon is definitely in a realistic range, as compared to the wyches. So the Wyches would move their 6", and the Archon will move 2" laterally near the Wyches. Due to the rulebook, this means that the Archon will be attached to them and as they move together, one would realize that the Archon have significantly shortened the distance of the charging and indeed my Wyches will be slung towards the enemy unit and the opponent units will have to pile in to engage as part of the reaction of close combat.

Voila! Close combat via slingshot effect!

Another thing I can pull off is the idea of trying to surround them with a wall of skimmers. Here are some of the application of the Skimer wall;

1)Use your venoms and raiders, and if the circumstances require it use the pasengers to cover every disembarking point of a vehicle and the try to wreck it. They need to deploy 2" out of the wreck, but since the raiders, venoms and even passengers are within 2", they are unable to get out and thus destroyed. I did this a number of time with significantly slower armies such as Mech orks. If it is a stunned result, it would be fine as well. If it is a shaken result, they would have to tank shock out of there, and due to the rules of tank shock your passengers can never disembark from a tank shock/ram.

2) Just use the raiders to trap mechanized armies. If they want to get out from the place they need to ram you, but with that 3+ dodge, you will trap them there for a good time. If your vehicles are destroyed, you have made a dangerous terrain for the vehicles, and they could be immobilized by the crater.
