| Thanks guys, I'm glad you like them, they're taking forever! Hopefully the hellions I've got planned along similar lines won't be quite so time consuming (though there are 15 of them, so I'm not holding my breath) @GAR - i really wanted the reaver helmets to look like the bronzed helmet visors off an astronaut, so a bit of googling later I found this little template for a sunburst off it [img] [/img] @lonewolf - I didn't want too much gore, just looks then like I couldn't decide which of the vanes to put it on so just covered all of them. The plan is that the bases will have the severed remnants of the poor unfortunate guardsmen (possibly) or imperial fists (probably) that caused the stains. | |

| They look great. But perhaps you should have painted the armband in a different color. In flesh tones it looks a little bit unfinished. But this is moaning on a really high level. | Thanks Demagoge, simple answer for that is that I hadn't painted the armbands when I took the pics, they're now the same blue as the helmet plumes. Hoping to get them completely finished this weekend and a bit more done on my razorwing base. | |

| Mini update for you all, had a manic week and a half, today is the first day I've not been busy so I got to work on my first squad of warriors [img] [/img] It's only the first couple of basecoats, charadon granite washed with black and hawk turquoise spot colour (sorry, still working with the old paints). Don't be fooled, the armour is intended to have yellow highlights on it not blue, the blue is just a spot colour for the power sources, lenses and hair to tie them in to my wyches, who have green armour highlights. There's a dark lance raider to come with them too. @sith'ari, I'll get a pic of the succubus for you and get it online this week | |

| Thanks for doing that for me mate - I can see it in all its glory now! Very lovely conversion and paint job I must say. I especially love the subtle yellowy green highlights on the tips of the armour plates which is something I've always struggled with myself. Now I can't wait to see the finished warriors! Looking at your Succubus, it's made me realise how something as simple as an arm swap can really change the dynamics of an entire model. Whilst the standard model looks like she's directing traffic, I can see yours in the middle of an enemy squad, seconds away from backhanding some poor sod right across the chops - awesome! | |

| Just a quick update with the latest on my kabalites, they've turned out a bit more wasp-ish than my test model, but I'm not entirely disappointed with that, the yellow is certainly more vibrant over tallarn flesh than the brown i was using originally. C&C welcome [img] [/img] Edit: I'm thinking that with these guys I'll go to silver for the metallics rather than the brass I've been using for my cult so that the differentiation between them is clear, using just the blue plumes and power sources to tie them together, what do you think? | |

| Thanks guys, rest assured they will get based, they're nowhere near finished yet, two of the three still need the final yellow highlight and they all need the flayed skin and metallics painting.
Garage got cleared at the weekend too so my gaming table is going to be under construction over the next few weeks. Trying to decide at the moment whether to get the new rule book straight away or wait for the starter set. Decisions decisions. | |

| Your army is looking pretty excellent. I really like the brass and green on the cult models. The similar patterns between the Kabalites and the Wyches, but done with different colors is a real nice touch as well. | |

| That's the positive side of being away from the forum for a while, you get back and people have updated their logs. I already liked your color scheme but it really comes to life on your warriors! | |

| They most certainly are, 1st one is almost done, probably have pics by the end of the week as I'm not around tonight and just need to add the finishing touches before I take pictures. Really must base up my reavers and kabalite squad and get some pics of those too. | |
