I don't see how they've stopped you ever calling your Archon Kruellagh, or using her Kabal, they just didn't include her in the new book. The current CSM book didn't mention the Night Lords Primarch, but Night Haunter still exists.

Jes has often said that there was too much Dark Eldar material to ever fit inside a single book this time around. Obviously Kruellagh was one of the things they cut to make room. Personally, I'm glad she's gone. I can stand joke names, as long as they're relatively subtle. Kruellagh hit you over the head with her reference. It's amazing they didn't paint her with a spotted cloak.

I bet someone at GW thought
"That would be... MOST CLEVER IDEA FOR VILLAN. EVER."
People can stand tearing out spine of someone, but animal cruelity (ie harming fluffy/beauty pets, bugs/snakes/mouth-full-of-sharp-teeth are out) provokes "O^o What the "hell" is wrong with You, You sick bastard?"

And if You thought name was bad, "Emasculators" jump in. That's (literally) low blow.

Kruellagh's name stems from a time when a lot of names were based on puns. There's too many to list, Marbo/Rambo, Thraka/Thatcher are but a few.

The model? I think it's poor but IMHO I think a lot of the old DE models are poor. The pose is silly, the hands and weapons look bad and the fact many painted her without a skinsuit adds to the bleurghness.

Her fluff was ok.

Like it was said earlier in the thread, Lelith would be a good basis for a conversion if you're sculpting skills are up to the job.

There is nothing stopping anyone using the model and generic Archon/Succubus to represent Kruellagh in your games.

I never really called mine 'Kruellagh', my archon was 'Benitheal Skin-eater', so I guess there was no big loss

But is often sold to children by GW staff. For a while, one of our local stores was little more than a glorified day care centre.

Yeah... "hardcore" players don't give too much money because they "don't play GW game" that involve spending money on new army... It's sad that GW is main to blame for destroying this hobby.

It's sad that there's always someone, turning a threat into a GW-rant. don't take it to personal, i just don't like it.

Regarding the beautiful Kruellagh, she is just a victim of here time. A good idea, but a medium end result. She could have been updated to fit into the book(and bring another exotic weapon into the book) but for some reason, she got kicked out. Would be lovely to get a statement from Phil on this topic.

could anyone ask him, if they see him somewhere?

Bleh rules and terrible model. If I ever wanted to represent her (not bloody likely) I'd probably field the Lhamean or a Dark Elf conversion instead.

Succubus with ACTUAL shooting weapon (Shredder with AP) would be pretty cool.
Hand-inbuilt flamer (something akin to Blood Stone) also would come handy.

@Crazy_Irish
I just like to "hiperbole" my opinion... still, big company pretty much have to do that if it want to live.
As maybe-economist I totally understand that.
Still pissed tho.

Well a Shooty Weapon wouldn't really fit into the Wych theme. They are all about elegance and a Flamer is kinda NOT elegant ;-) Even though i could live(Fluff wise) with a Shredder;-)

And On the other thing, i understand where it's coming from.

I look at the Kruellagh model and imagine her saying "Eyyy," in the style of The Fonz. Terrible model, but perhaps not the worst in terms of child friendliness. Morathi springs to mind.

Kruellagh the Vile - Page 2 M470246_99060212058_DarkElfMorathiMain_873x627

Is there any reason for her to be flashing like that? Is it some joke about feminist bra burning?

To be honest her model is kinda stupid. She actually have armour, yet on RIGHT boob. Just if You would ask why I think that way, Your heart is on left side of Your body.

Well, she's supposed to be Slaaneshi, and old fluff had it that it was Slaaneshi custom to leave the left breast bare in religious clothing. I'm assuming the sculptor chose to represent that little forgotten fact.

Interesting to hear some remorse with her disappearance but props for taking on her fluff and Kabal!

I used her once and she was "meh". The insult to injury was I put her in a raider with a squad of Incubi that had a pair of blasters - I just moved her around the board pretending to be a mini-ravager until her ride crapped out.

I probably should not have admitted I actually took blasters in an incubi squad but that too fell into the "gotta try it once before it's gone" thing. I think the other HQ was the Decapitator...
