BTW guys, do you know how a single Detachment with 3 Knights could bring 9 CP? My opponent couldn't bring me a proof, but several players insisted it's true.
I'm pretty sure that this isn't possible. The only detachments that I can think of offhand that can have knights in them are superheavy, superheavy auxiliary, and supreme command, and none of those will net you the 6 CP needed to get a total of 9.

Some bonus CP from relic or warlord trait, maybe?

It's from the imperial knights faq. Three titanic sized knights in a superheavy gives +6cp. The intent is to stop armiger spam for 3cp, so you need at least one big knight for the 3cp, and then to incentivize you to take more big knights, +6cp for at least 3.

Dawn of War deployment is ideal for killing knights. Even with Pain Engines the 24" does not do well if they are on one of the long board deployments you will die slowly so just kill what you can.

I'm a fan of haywire blasters on talos, you shouldn't count on them to kill vehicles but it's a nice couple extra shots to throw mortal wounds on vehicles, and given the talos has +4 bs, or +5 if you advance it's night to have a weapon with a decent number of shots. Just gotta remember it's melee where the talos is really going to do its main damage anyway.
lol, oh little one, knights are cheap... The Gallant is 350pts, the Errant is 390pts, its easy to have 5 in a 1850pt list, its better to have 4 tho with 2 mini knights.
Man even after weapon options, that's rough. I am quite glad I haven't had to face 5 knights at 2k then.

Against 5 Knight the best way is to contain them and playing on objectives. If they have the loyal32 crush them and get VP with the mission. Gallant are easy to counter because they need to charge, so you can screen them even with 5 Kabals and they can't walk over them. Then there's the fire phase but you have stopped 300ish points with 30. Meanwhile, you can focus down other knights one by one.
The secrets is about staying focussed during the game. You don't need to destroy his list, you're just going to do way more victory points turn per turn than he will never achieve. Contain them with maneuvres, play about scoring points, keep in mind that your units are going to die anyway so lets sacrifice them on purpose. One by one, screening, denying their movements etc. Never focus Castellans, they are simply too hard to kill off and they don't shoot so just contain them as said before. Bring your shots on shooting knights.
Way different is when you're facing 1 single Castellan and a lot of stuffs around it :-/

Yeah, a Knights army is actually really bad, 1 Castellan with 100 IG and Bullgyrns around it feeding it CP is a problem.
