Kabal List Trrop Spam

Drukhari Battalion with 5 auxiliary support detachments list (As the list contains 11 troops and I want to minimise the HQ purchases to get the list below 2K, the price I pay is that I only get 3 command points with the list).

Kabal of the Flayed Skull. 2K list (1984 points to be exact)

I have played 6 games with this list so far in my local meta and won them all. Most of the games embarrassingly so. I would welcome any comments from the community.

You're only allowed to field 3 detachments. I guess that count auxilliary detachments too. You should change all your dark lances for disintegrator cannons. They are better/equal, but less expensive than dark lances. You have enough lances with your blasters for the heavier targets.

Is that a tournament thing? (I don't go to tournaments).

You can never have enough dark lances IMHO. When you are up against armies that have lots of tanks I seem to need them?

I think it's been math'd out that Dark Lances are slightly better against medium vehicles, but dissies are better against most infantry, and slightly better against very squishy vehicles & very tough vehicles. The fact that dissies are also cheaper helps push them into a generally better all round weapon this edition.

None of that is to say Dark Lances are bad - they're strong - but you already have a tonne of Blasters which are essentially the same thing.

Run a couple of your Ravagers with triple dissies and see how you feel.

I personally would add the 2 more archons and take 2 battalion detachments.

If you do the following:

drop one squad of Kabalite warriors and one raider,
Swap out 3 of your DL for dissies (your choice whether you do 3 of the raiders or one ravager)
Swap out the Husk blades on all archons for venom blades

This keeps the flavour of your list intact (only one less KW and one less raider), makes it 2 detachments, and buys you an incremental 10! CP.

In my mind the 164 points you're paying for the 2 additional Archons is well worth the 10 CP you get from it.

Of course, I'd have to take 3 Archons and Drazhar as you're not allowed more than 3 of anything now (a rule my group has happily assimilated). But the advice still stands....
