Mortal wounds is nice, but the cleaver seems a lot more reliable in terms of damage output.

The trick with Grots may be the squad size. If you dont have a large enough squad (or appropriate backup), they wont work. Overwhelm the enemy on a flank with enough bodies, and booya!
