So I am going to Wetcoast in Vancouver BC Canada in 2 weeks time.

I have had a few 8th games, but not enough.

Anyways this is the list that I am thinking of taking.

Any C&C would be greatly appreciated.

This list is not set in stone and is likely to change. Especially with some solid feed back.


HQ
Yvrain

Haemonculus w/ crucible, electro whip, liquifier

TROOPS
9 Kabalites w/blaster, agoniser.

10 kabalites w/ blaster, cannon, agoniser.

5 wyches

ELITES
3 Grots w/ 1 electro whip

Beastmaster

FAST ATTACK
2x10 Razorwing flocks

HEAVY SUPPORT
Ravager w/ 3 lances

FLYERS
2x Razorwing jet fighters w/ 2 lances and splinter cannon.

TRANSPORTS
3xRaider w/ disintegrator


I have Yvraine because she seems better than most of our HQs. She has the Ynnari version of smite and smite. Her other power can really only effect her, but that is fine by me.  And she is good for psychic defense. Which I really want.just stopping 1 or 2 powers a game will be nice.

The haemonculus is obviously there to make the grots tougher and to kick some ass himself when required. He also has the crucible and liquifier. Love him!

The kabalites give me a mobile fire base and Yvraine can either rider with the Grots and Haemonculus or tag along with the kabalites. Although a 10th Kabalite with Splinter Cannon sure would be nice?... but where to find the points?...

I have 5 wyches.... to basically just hold things up a little bit if my opponent shows up. They are not exactly that threatening, but can be a god unit to have. Especially to support my lines defensively. Will probably make them sp10 with drugs.  Not sold on this atm though.

The beastmasters will take the +2ld drug. He makes beast better.

Grots are for a tough unit that can hit fairly hard and  hold their own when required. The electro whip is a nice edition to the unit.

20 Razorwing flocks for an 80 wound meat shield and to give me numbers. With the beastmasters near they can actually be a solid thread as well.

Ravager with lances. Yup! Need it

Razorwing jet fighters have been really nice for me. I usually prefer the disintegrators on them, but I need more lances. And lances are cheaper. I am a little strapped for points at 1650

Raider with disintegrators have been a lot of fun so far. Well Raiders in general have been great. So many tactical uses besides just being a mobile transport.


Anyways. Give me some ideas and suggestions.
I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences with Dark Eldar

Thinking I will drop the wyches and split the 10 man kabalite unit into 2x5. I can add a blaster to the unit. I lose a cannon, but gain a blaster.

This will also give me a few more points to play with

If I drop the wyches and split the 10 man kabalite to the 5man I will for sure take a PGL. I love PGLs




Thinking of going back to the basics of Dark Eldar.

This is basically my 7th ed Dark Eldar

1648pts

Archon w/ blaster, agoniser, PGL

Succubus w/ Archite Glaive, impaler

10 Kabalites w/ agoniser, blaster and splinter cannon

5 Kabalites w/blaster

9 Wyches w/ Power weapon. Probably give them st4 from combat drugs.

Beastmaster w/ +2LD to give him and the flocks LD9

2x10 Razorwing Flocks

2xRavager w/ 3 Dark lances

2x Razorwing jet fighters w/ 2 Dark Lances

2x Raider w/ disintegrator cannon

2xVenoms w/ 2 Splinter Cannons.


This list doesn't have as much tough combat, but it is a little faster and has much more shooting.

This is basically what i think of when i think of my dark eldar. My opinion, of course.
