| Hey everyone, I'm glad to be a new member in the forum.
I'm planning to head to my LGS next week for my first Dark Eldar purchases! The plan as of right now is a Start Collecting box and a Skyplinter box (Raider+10 Kabalite Warriors) Does this seem like a good way to start my army in prep for 8th? Thanks!

| If you're looking for a straightforward way of starting a Dark Eldar Kabal, that's a good deal and the units will work well together. _________________ Really terrible videos about tiny plastic space elfs intended to help you get gud scrub: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcZP8WGIhte5TmCWQXsZO4A

| Whereas you SHOULD wait for the new edition, if you like the army I see no reason not to make a start. The way we play won't change THAT much.
With a Start Collecting and a Skysplinter you'll end up with 20 Warriors, 2 Raiders, 3 Reaver Jetbikes and an Archon. Thats a good place to start from as it does give you a basic minimum CAD to build your army up from. I'd say that (as per the current rules) you'd have one sub-maximum unit of Warriors in order to also get the Archon into a Raider (but that may change who knows?!) so I would suggest adding one Venom to the mix.

| If you can afford it, get a bit of everything. Variety is always good, and it will give you a strong foundation to build a competitive arny on when 8th arrives. The models are nice and fun to paint as well. | |

| The Gangs of Commorragh Box is a real bargain too, if you'd like Reavers and/or Hellions. A new 40K edition is on the way, so i can't say anything about playability at the moment. Also you could just buy what you think looks cool. | |
