| I realy like the green and technically they are well done. I think they'll match perfectly with the snow-bases. Not stealthlike, but fitting.
Are you planning on incorporating a secondary colour for Trueborn and/or wyches or will they be painted the same? _________________ I must rule with eye and claw — as the hawk among lesser birds.

| I would definitely be interested to see one of these completely finished. Looks good so far though. _________________ Kabal of the Twilight Sun Cult of the Seven Sisters Coven of the Iron Sigil

| I have a tourquise (sp?) colour i have since added to the archons sash/belt so that may be the offset colour...
i want to avoid the christmas tree scheme the red/orange would make!
Archon is not far from done now... _________________ Objective Secured - Western Australia's Premier 40k Event Organisers and Website OBJECTIVE SECURED

| It looks good, did you undercoat the flesh with a light grey and then build up to white? I can't really tell from the photo, but that will add some more planes to the flesh and make it look a bit better. The rest of the paint looks great, though I think I'd like to see some variance in the scar. Maybe make it a lighter tone?
I really like the base, and I normally don't care for blood!

| I really like it, traditionally it looks a bit Craftworld but applied to the Kabalite and Ghostplate Armour it really works. I think a very dark crimson based off of Dark Flesh would work really well as a complementary colour. _________________ Sky Serpent - Drukhari 40k My Facebook blog, follow for battle reports, tactics, painting and conversions | |

I know the Christmas joke was already made, but I feel that if they were green and red would make them look a little too much like elves. | How very interesting.
They do look craftworldy, but not in a bad way.
I like them very much. I think with a little nudge of contrasting color they could look quite sinister. _________________ The Dread Pirate Garness Visit my occasionally update blog

| Its funny - i never noticed the CWE look until you guys said it... the irony being my first fully painted 40k force back in 2001 was a biel tan force!
I wanted a more solid colour style than the traditional extreme highlights of 5th ed dark eldar and did not have a green army!
The blood is a product called Tamyia clear red. I added black ink to it to get the dark tones and it was added to the snow while the snow was drying so it spread very naturally. I added pure clear red afterwards to get the fresh finish was well as the thicker red of internal deep arterial blood.
I have finished the archon... pics incoming... _________________ Objective Secured - Western Australia's Premier 40k Event Organisers and Website OBJECTIVE SECURED

| Ok... Archon is done... this is the official test model for the kabal so be honest! Before i get any comments i can say i am happy overall. I tried a number of new techniques (flayed and living skin in this case) and the results are almost what i wanted 100% I want to put a rune on his cape but for now... he will do. I also noticed i can field him as the duke so thats win! _________________ Objective Secured - Western Australia's Premier 40k Event Organisers and Website OBJECTIVE SECURED

| Very good, I like. Nice to see a green kabal like mine, yet not with the same green nuance. I'm not going to say anything about what head you've chosen... But that's just my personal idea... | |

I love the color scheme.

No, it is just me. I just don't like the design of the helmetless heads very much, but you shouldn't adapt that idea if you like the head

Doesn't his right arm get cold though? I like your choice of head to match the cold, but, I agree with Saintspirit on the design of the heads. I don't think GW have been very inventive with Eldar and Deldar heads. It's only since picking up the game again after 10 years that I realise the Eldar aren't coneheads underneath their helmets but just like human heads, with pointy ears but human nonetheless. I've used the bare Scourge head for my Archon, it looks a lot less human than the rest of them.

| I love the color scheme, and think the hawk torquoise makes a great accent color. A tattoo around the scar would be nice, but its hard to do ( I know my freehand isnt that good ) but overall nice. I think a little brighter silver on the weapons and PGL would of been better. But its good overall. _________________ Status:Usurping Kabal leadership for his PatriarchCurrent List:First 2k GSC List | |

| Love the bare heads. Really dig the green and white(if you did yellow and blue my Iyandians would have accused you of using a CWE theme!). What were you thinking of for the contrast color? I agree with GAR that it needs one, though red would look a little X-mas-ish with the snow and all. Nice stuff.
Edit: Oops missed the contrast color. I like it, but would also like to see a little more. I know it's cliche to do the hair in a contrast color but it might bring it out a bit. Are you thinking of trying a rune or two on the baack of the cape thingy?

| I like it even though the green/white does look like a craftworld scheme. I'm getting a more pirate than kabal vibe, but that'd be a good theme to go for too. | |

| Thanks very much guys! I like the helmetless head(s) myself - the 5 incubi i am building as bodyguard all all getting the same helmetless treatment with a tatoo on the face.
Would anyone like a quick blood tutorial with pics? _________________ Objective Secured - Western Australia's Premier 40k Event Organisers and Website OBJECTIVE SECURED

| I'd like to see it, I use snow basing for my WoC and I don't like to use blood as a rule because it normally doesn't turn out well.
Thanks! | |
