The blood is old GW red ink mixed with Micro Krystal clear. It's a compound similar to PVA glue, but it dries glass clear and can be used to simulate lens, small panes of glass, etc.

It makes a nice goopy gore when mixed with red ink.

Probably late to the party saying this but wow.. just wow.. I'm not a huge fan of blood on models, it just seems odd people leave so much bloodstains on say, banners and their armour, but I guess just maybe the Dark Eldar wouldn't mind that.

Huge applause to the "black" - painting proper black is never easy. The jets and the sails are also top of the notch

My first finished models of 2013 and I wanted to go all out on this unit of Scourges.

I Airbrushed then hand detailed the bird wings. I airbrushed the OSL effects on the wings and the weapons. I used my same DE skin tone technique but tried to improve my brush technique from my previous work.

Wow, I absolutely loved the brightly-coloured, bat-winged ones you did last year, but the darker aspect of these is just as beautiful and has a much, much more powerful effect.

The best I have yet seen anywhere, bar none!

Those are really, really nice Scourges you got there. The wings look almost real, and the OSL is really well done! Fantastic work!

Those Scourges are really nice looking. I like how realistic the feathers look and all the glow effects on the model.

I've been working on more additions for this army. Here's another Talos. I was inspired by a Cronos I saw on Warseer..but tried to modify the design for a heavily armed Talos.

Very nice modification of the Talos, manely the cobra-like pose that tail now gives it. Also, I want to say that while everything here is marvelous, there is one thing I find even more marvelous, and that is the light effects (like those on the scourges). It looks almost as if you put miniature light bulbs in the models...

The head of your Talos makes me imagine of it moving... Kind of creepy to be honest... I love it!

On the Scourges, they turned out superb! I love the effect you got on the feathers using the air brush. The light source effects both on the guns and the wings are wonderful!

It's also neat to see a whole feather-winged unit.

Very neat Talos conversion.

Love the head the most.

More units to add to my coven forces, 30 Warriors!

There are 3 Full 10 Man squads. Each with a Dark Lance, Blaster and Sybarite. Painting Wise, I went with the same scheme that can be seen on my Feathered Scourges with the addition of more OSL effects on the weapons.

I have seen a relatively few number of DE armies that I would consider to be a cut above the rest - Mechanicum Jon's on Dakka, Sorrowshard's, Speedfreek's, GAR's , ESE's and Massaen's here, plus a few others, but I can honestly say EoE that yours is my all-time favourite to this point in time.
