So just like the GK Daemon Hammer, our Blaster is the most coveted weapon in our arsenal. Per warrior box you only get one but if you want to field let say two sets of blasterborn or venom spam with blasters you will be looking at probably 6 to 8 blasters. This translates into 6 to 8 boxes of warriors, most of which you realistically never will use.
So my question is where did you guys get your Blasters from? Most bitz sites are in my opinion more then useless since they are either really expensive or almost everything is out of stock. And buying 6 boxes of warriors to get 6 blasters is also not something I am willing to do.

I got mine on the streets, son! OG Archon up in this house!
Random affordable Blaster idea - I bet the old Wych w. Blaster models are dirt cheap nowadays...

I just cut the barrels off of Dark Lances. They slow down Warriors too much anyway, and Scourges even more so.
The fluff behind it is that my Kabalite Warriors use a more "professional" kind of Blaster, with a scope and all, while the Trueborn use a lighter version that can be fired from the hip more easily.

Warrior box 1 standard (1)
Shredder with the tip cut off. Glue Blaster tip from your Reaver sprue (2)
Blaster from Scourge kit (3)
Cut off the Dark Lance long barrel from the Warrior kit (4)
Then just double that up and there you go. Also Blast Pistols from Warrior and Wych kits can be used too but don't look as impressive IMO

I cut the tips off Blast Pistols and glued them onto body of other guns. By the time you glue the gun into the model's hand you can't hardly tell what they are holding except by the end. I then paint the guns dark and the piece that represents the "Blast" part gold to further draw attention from the mismatched nature of the guns.
I didn't want to lose DLs as I think in the long run it is more likely warriors (etc) with lances get good than pistol-wielding models.

In one box of warriors there is the potential to craft 4 blasters.
1) the actual blaster
2) cut the blades off the shredder
3) cut the barrel off of dark lance
4) glue the tip of the blast pistol onto a splinter rifle
the tip of a Disentegrator cannon could also useful with some modifications.
I paint all my splinter weapons, special and heavy weapons a little differently. this helps with the variance of looks you'll get from the blasters to keep it all together.

My preferred method is to cut the end off a Shredder and simply glue the end of the Blast Pistol in its place. This looks almost identical to the real Blaster and you can usually pick up shredders and pistols from bitz sites cheaply. I think I have about 16 'blasters' now.

Hoard o Bits.
Other then that - there is only one decent enough looking way - convert shredder with blast pistol. If you are not geeky as i in WYSYWIG thats probably the way.

I cut off the front part of the disintegrators and peeled off the excess parts with hobby knifr. Then glued them to the back of the splinter rifles. As these blasters have long muzzles, i gave them to trueborn squad for fluff reasons as they do have access to better gear than the kabalites.

I had extra wraithcannons that I snipped the end off.

Shredder + blast pistol, so two blasters per warrior kit and I am not losing anything I would use. People can't even tell that they are different (and if they do know, they can't tell which one is the real blaster and which one is the shredder).
I have one guy with a dark lance cut off but if I would have to get another 4 or 3 blasterborn, I would have to be in a lot of effort...
I don't often use kabalite warriors with blasters though so it is okay.

I sculpted some, since that had worked out well for some space marine parts I needed. ( bird skulls for my raven guard )
I tried to mold with liquid blue stuff and used 50/50 green stuff and magic sculpt to make enough for my trueborn squad. Most came out a little bit wonky, and some were acceptable. But in the end I paid out the nose for bitz on ebay. Dark eldar bits are pretty impossible to copy.

I WISH the scourges blasters had ghost armoured arms
then it'd be perfect, but I just detest the naked arms. I wish I wasn't so fussy.
Cutting off the barrel of the dark lance is a cool way to make a more elite (albeit a touch oversized) higher quality blaster, for say, trueborn. I quite like that idea, though I've yet to make any trueborn myself.
