I read about SM droppod armies (holding everything in reserves) comming in on the first turn, giving the opponent nothing to shoot at in his first turn. Good and solid tactic that can be devestating.

We can now do allmost the same thing. The scalpel squadron is kept in reserves and automaticaly drops in in the first turn.

We can keep everything in reserves, give the first turn to opponent. Drop in with this aquadron in our first turn Thus not loosing the game and then having our rest of our army come in in the Next turn. Good idea to have a autarch or coms relay to make sure that the army actually comes in.

Can this be a tactic? A good one? Just an idea....

What do you Guys think? Can it be used?

2 units of wracks in venoms... Venoms must DS in first turn.

If one of this units get first blood it scores d3 VP instead of just 1.

I think I'm that case you'd want to bring at least 4 and probably tryto dDS them out of LoS which normally means "where they can mishap".

A few bad scatters and you lose the game.

Why out of LoS? you dont risk to Loose the game. He might be able to kill the 2 squads in his second turn but then you'll be getting your forcing in in your second turn.

If playing malstrom missions though it could give the opponent VP's.

SM can only drop pod half the pods rounding up in the first turn.

Thats a risky tactic even for Scalpel Squadron. Lets say you do that while your opponent has everything on board deployed. If everything is destroyed in that turn you will automatically loose. The rule book in 7th states that if you dont have anything on the board by your next turn you will automatically loose.

A game turn, not a players turn. Even if he wipe out the units in his second turn (the only turn he can shoot at the 2 units) you will still have your second turn.

Unless he goes second....
You cant force someone to go first all of the time.
