Have to say that whilst I do still prefer it to our current codex cover, it's far and away the worst one that Swanland (assuming it is him) has done for a 6/7e codex. Was hoping for much better.

It's a cool picture, but yeah they could have done with twisting his arm a bit less. I don't doubt they're capable, being super-agile and flexible (nudge nudge wink wink) space elves, but it does look a bit odd.

I also think they should have gone for the other helmet you get with that model, which is much cooler I think and more 'Dark Eldar'. I don't dislike the horns, but having them on the cover is a pretty big mis-representation of the army as a whole.

The arm is the correct one, it's just at an unnatural angle. An additional problem is that it is disproportionately short for the body, even accounting for depth.

The pose itself is a bit awkward. Perhaps a case of trying to convey too much motion. The blurry/smokey soul-trap distracts from the foreground more than anything else and the huskblade pommel seems to bisect the archon's hand rather than be gripped in it. Small criticisms that probably will not matter once I have the book in hand.
