I cut both arms off because I hated the pose Razz

I actually really like the new Haemonculus. It's better than the old one... that one always looked like he was trying to thrust his chest at his enemy

I totally dig the hairdo. I didn't have any pure coven units in my army. The new Haemonculus will be my first. I didn't like the old one, but that was mostly due to the finecast.

Probably no parts to make the haemie female though.

Just to help affirm this, Wracks and Haemonculi just got pulled of the site on the US.

Why would they pull the haemonculus? That resin one is still good.

it's because the feet are hanging, they look similar on the old resin one.

Because they want to get rid of resin miniatures and move everything to plastic.

That and I imagine they would prefer to sell a $26 Haemie instead of a $19 one. No sense having a cheaper substitute right next to the new model in the web store window.

I see a new Heamy as a kind of betrayal fro GW side. They will remove named characters, because they don't have a miniature, but they released a new Heamy which already has 2 old style and one finecast model. There is really no need in a new Heamy. The model is cool, but it will be more cool if they would release Baron.
It is the same nonsense like - "We decided to get rid of the Voidraven bomber because of no miniature, but hey, how about a new Razorwing Jetfigter? We made 2 different models for it!"

I dont really understand the cry for Baron. I would be MUCH happier if they give us options for generic archons (bike, relics, rules and equip for 7th) and succubi (skyboard, wings maybe, relics, rules and equip for 7th). And removing Baron is a right step imho. He was used as an ally for Eldar deathstars mostly or beastsstars in DE, which is just powerplay and I will not be sorry to see it go. I dont think that DE are about beasts I wouldnt cry to see them go too. Thats CWE exodites or in broader sense Nids, not DE.

As for Haemi - it is just a first step, although it might not be in a good direction unless they ramp up their role significantly, but I am still not feeling betrayed.

Well it's nice that you don't want to see the Baron or Beasts (which incidentally have been around for as long as the Dark Eldar have had a model range) but some of us do like using those units and I actually agree that creating a plastic model for a unit that has an existing model is somewhat annoying when we have so many characters without a model at all.

I agree. Baron for me can go, even tho there is almost not a list I havnt used him in. He is OP as frak.

Now the beasts, these have always been around, and hopefully the will always be. If not I would cry as I have spent much money on these frak. (yeye I have the original Khymeras and Razorwing in metal and finecast because I am a sucker for the models.)

And as the cheesy frak i am, I hope we get a relic that can recreate teh Hit'n'run for the beaststar Wink

Regarding Relics, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Shadowfield appeared there. Possibly the Huskblade as well, if we get to keep it. Not really sure what else we'll see.

Well I am sorry if I stepped on someone's toes. We will not lose beasts. I cannot recall any recent instance of GW removing an unit from the dex if it had a model already. Thats why I think I can voice my opinion regarding them easily, because we are keeping them anyway. :-)

Now that apologies have been said, I think that beasts DO give us a possibility to create a certain type of CC list that is fun to play. With my "objection" I just meant that I dont see DE transporting tons of beasts on their cruisers just to have them driven onto an enemy. :-) This opinion is personal and in no way I think that everyone should be of the same mindset. :-)

I mean, all of our Arcane Wargear (is it still called that? Been a bit since I've delved into it) are functionally Relics.
One-per-army items that are (supposed to be) very powerful.

The Shadowfield used to be, but just became Archon-Only.. but now you can take more than one Archon... so I could see it going either way. Huskblade? Sure, I only want it for my (singular) Archon anyway. A lot of the Heamy stuff.... fun, but rarely good enough to warrant a one-shot item... especially the "anti-psyker" stuff. Although I haven't looked at it with 7th edition eyes.

If beasts go away, I'm punching a baby. I don't even pull them out that often, but they're a great, fluffy, fun unit, that yet is not imbalancing to the game. Go figure.

I think arcane remains the same.
But i agreed, that something "regular", such as huskblade will go in there.

And ofcource i want more options for archon/haemi/succubus (especialy for succubus, cuz i already got three of them and have another one on a "Reaver" jetbike is some kind of a dream)

@ Aurynn and Darklight

I wouldn't worry too much about stepping on anybody's toes.  However, there is plenty of fluff that supports the practice of wych cults driving their stock of beasts into the enemy in battle.  The use of these dangerous animals is part and parcel of the wych culture.  They naturally would employ their critters in battle just as they do their ritual weapons and combat drugs.  And since the combat arenas are an essential element of DE society and their vitality any DE force is justified in bringing them (fluff wise).  If not for tactical or cultic reasons kabalites and coven units would simply enjoy the spectacle.

I also join in the chorus of why a new model for an existing one when I really would have liked to have a Baron or another named character without a model.

I couldn't care less if a DE unit is abused by another codex.  Let GW rule the OP combination out of play but let's not see the DE unit purged because of an interaction with another codex unit(s).

I am really happy about the new heami. Seriously. The old one looked like Jesus on the cross. If you would play three of them, then there would be three poor guys on the cross...
With an archon, there is no problem to build him differently. Is easy as xyzz..
Thus I like the new Heami ;-)

I like new one too... exept the cost Evil or Very Mad
But seriosly - we have sooo cool characters in 5th ed codex without models, so they can just make 1 or 2 instead of haemi. But sure, covens will get pretty much attension in new dex.

Or they could do new model for Drazar.
Or even some REALY new HQ model. SOme new character. But who knows? Maybe it`s too easy for GW
