Thank you! I attempted to do reflection from the blue control panel onto the helmet so i used SUPER thin down Kantor blue and did multiple layers, making sure they are dry before doing another. Then use GW's 'ard coat to do a thin layer over top of that. It looks white in the pot but is actually clear. Make sure the paint is very very dry before you put this or its gets clumpy and don't touch it once you do one coat. It takes a lonnnnng time to dry, but makes everything reflective and shiny! It makes gems look amazing also. Good luck Smile

Its been FOREVER since I posted. I started a small Space Wolves army and have been painting them up so I haven't gotten a lot of things finished unfortunately from my DE. Since last time I have purchased a Talos and a super nice guy at my FLGS gave me 2 venoms, a ten man squad of warriors and an archon!!!! I just got hired at the same gamestore so hopefully I will be able to get some painting in when its slow Smile Here is some of the stuff I've been working on....

Another scourge WIP. Took huge inspiration from David at http://sproketsmallworld.blogspot.com. He is amazing and if you haven't seen his stuff you NEED to.

Thanks so much! I used a tiny 0/3 brush from Dickblick and stippled with Mephiston red, Scab/korne, Ushabi bone, screaming skull, Cadian flesh, Kislev flesh and rakarth flesh. Focus the reds in the areas closest to the bones and fade out towards the edges. Then layer up from the darkest to lightest flesh colors...keeping the lightest ones towards the edges.

This takes a HUGE amount of time haha. I think I've spent six plus on just the wings :/

That would look really awesome! One thing I would do differently if I do this technique again though is use a slightly larger brush maybe a 0 or so and use that for the first layers so the specks are different sizes and then layer up the others with the 3/0 Smile Good luck!

those are very nice models, i like how the red and the black blend together to make it look like 2 colours but its only one. does that make scense?

Fantastic Scourges! The veins on the leathery wings are really well done!
