PostSubject: Model overload and no strategy !    Wed Sep 26 2012, 23:56

As you guys know I am new to the game. I have decided I have a bit of a problem haha. I buy models on a whim and I still don't really have any idea what I am doing or where my army is going haha. Every other day I come across a different strategy that I want to try. Problem is now I have a smorgasbord of models and no idea how to make a semi competitive army out of it. Right now I feel like what I have is total garbage Razz Any help in giving some directions to this mess would be awesome. Thank you all!

I currently have/purchased

20 warriors
10 wyches + skarayaa (for archon or succubus all from Raging Heroes)
10 incubi
5 wracks
bits for duke/10 trueborn
12 reavers
10 scourges
2 venoms
2 raiders

I didn't where to put this pale so I am sorry if it is out of place!

Archon, Huskblade, Soul-trap, Shadowfield, Combat Drugs, PGL
4 Incubi in Venom
4 Trueborn w/ Blasters in Venom
3 Trueborn, 2 Dark Lances
10 Warriors in Raider
10 Warriors in Raider
9 Reavers, 3 Heat Lances
5 Scourges, 2 Haywire Blasters
5 Scourges, 2 Haywire Blasters
Razorwing, FF

I'll let you take the pleasure in putting the points together Smile

Strategy is kind of dependant on what army you're playing but I think one idea that you want to remember is this; pick a target, point ALL your guns at it and kill it. Or to put it in terms of a game; Shoot and blow up the Rhino then kill the guys on the inside, by either Splinter Fire, Reaver Bladevanes or Assault.

Thats a very basic concept, but you can perfect it overtime. When your skills and knowledge grow, so does your ability to kill stuff

What point size of games are you planning to play?

My short answer is - try everything...then keep using what works for you.
