https://www.warhammer-community.com/2019/03/11/breaking-news-from-gama/

the next KT expansion is going to have mandrakes (and, judging from the video, grotesques)

On the craftworld side of things, striking scorpions (and, apparently, wraithguard/wraithblades).

I just wish this meant Grots and mandrakes are getting plastic models and maybe a rules update ...

IMO, grots and mandrakes are fine where they are, ruleswise (though the liquifier gun needs to be restored to S4, but that's another matter entirely). Incubi really need to be reworked, however.

I guess Kill Team is only likely to field one grotesque, and they have that one, lonely, sad, break dancing pile of finecast to use. A shame as grots are absolutely crying out for a new kit. One of our best units, but I haven't bothered with them because of the model.
Maybe we should all try and agree to make the same requests when they do their big questionnaire again this year, with plastic Grots being right at the top.

Is there a specific date for the big questionnaire? I would certainly like to request plastic grotesqure kits, even if I'm aiming to kitbash some.

Nah, the last one was in November 2017. The best date we've got for this year's is "soon".

Agreed, a friend of mine is ecstatic though. All though we both worry about crisis suits

Well, it is modular. You can add or remove expansions as you see fit. Some local events are commander events. Some are not. I assume that it will be the same with elites. Though I can see adding in elites as being used more often than commanders.

I miss Shadowrun. You had your leader, you had your troops, you had your flunkies, and you had your mercenary specialists. It was all right there in one book with no special hoopla or expansions.

You mean Shadow War: Armageddon? If so, agreed. I like the Killteam mechanics better, as well as the unit variety it provided at the start, but now... I bought into it with the rulebook, but now there's a gazillion different expansions, faction tactics exclusive to certain OOP sets...
It's a mess.

I find Shadow War's close combat mechanics (based on 2nd ed 40k/1st ed Necromunda) to be incredibly clunky. Overall, I prefer the mechanics of Kill Team, as the alternating activations during the shooting/fight phases make the games much more tactically interesting, and the game plays quickly while still having a pretty robust rules set.

I am so damn tired of GW making me bring 5+ pieces of literature to play a simple game. Not even 7th edition needed this much crap.
