Hello!
I would love to hear some feedback on this list.

One possible change I am thinking about is splitting up the talos in 3x2 units to save them from some psychic powers and deny the 3rd gang buster point. Downside is easier first blood kill and less effective using stratagems.

Can we skip our gunboats?
Winning the midfield should win us the game even if we get kited.
I have hard time making room for 2-3 raiders/ venoms plus the archon tax all for some splinter fire that is not that great in the first place.

Please let me know how you run it.

I'm worried that those Wracks don't really put out enough firepower and get far enough to justify being shot at every turn but I guess if they're T5/4++/6+++ and can be respawned by Black Cornucopians your opponent has to really dedicate some firepower there to be rid of them.

So yeah I'm kind of torn about that one, but overall I think this is super cool and very different and I hope you do well, I think you might struggle against armour but you also have the tools to grind it out I think.

I would honestly take all the wracks a min units and leave their guns at home.

I love eldarad, but I have found a jetseer be a little bit better. Or more mobile. Which is important.

I also think that you need more boots on the ground. Or in vehicles.

Maybe try 1 unit of 3 talos or 2x3, min size the wracks. And then try and make that kabal spearhead into a battalion. The extra cps will go a long way as well as having more mobility via transports.


Just some thoughts.

Can't respawn the wracks, as it is (correctly) a prophets of flesh battalion.

I agree with Colinsherlow, if you're taking the single farseer for doom, smite and deny the witch, then a jetseer is the better choice.     If Eldrad is stuck on foot in your backfield, what will he do for you?

I personally wouldn't go for the min squads of wracks. It won't get you the venom/raiders you're looking for, so instead go for a mob rushing the opposing table edge or holding backfield objectives.



If you drop the guns on the wracks and perhaps one Talos, add 3 Kab warrior squads and an Archon the extra 4 CP will be huge.

For 3 units of kabalites plus archon I can also take 3 units of rangers and drop 2 grotesqes for a warlock. There we have another battalion. Definite better then footsloggin 15 warriors in the backfield doing nothing.

This list certainly seems interesting. I'd really like to hear how its done. I think eldrad is actually fine here. He can walk up slowly with the protection of all the grots and talos. Hardly stranded backfield. I think decreasing the wracks to 5 men might still be reasonable though. I also think you want an ossefactor in that last 5 man squad so they can still contribute while camping an objective.

I would love to hear some battle reports with this kinda list. I feel like everyone here is very set on kabalites in raiders as historically that was key to dark elder but there may be other valid options now given the breadth of the codex.

If you can spare 120ish points for some warlocks or 60 for some rangers you can buy yourself an extra cp or 2 upgrading the elder to a patrol or supreme command if you are so inclined

I adjusted the list. More screening. More command points. I am quite happy with it. Need to try out if I run the Talos in groups of 2s or 3s.
Also I could run 2 more Talos instead of the Grotesque. Not sure about this either.
