https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QuVR2KdfKO08bBLYw9vobghM_xwhejofmtyXQ7LgQU8/edit

So, the lists for the upcoming London GT have been put up for everyone to peruse. There is a lot of Drukhari on there.

Just for reference, the breakdown of Drukhari detachments;

17 Black Heart Spearheads
10 Red Grief Outriders
7 Black Heart Airwings
6 Black Heart Battalions
5 Black Heart Patrols
5 Prophets of Flesh Battalions
5 Flayed Skull Battalions
4 Prophets of Flesh Vanguards
3 Obsidian Rose Battalions
1 Poisoned Tongue Battalion
1 Cult of Strife Battalion
1 Obsidian Rose Patrol
1 Obsidian Rose Vanguard
1 Obsidian Rose Airwing
1 Black Heart Vanguard
1 Red Grief Battalion
1 Red Grief Patrol
1 Prophets of Flesh Spearhead
1 Ynnari Battalion
1 Red Grief Airwing (?)

Pretty clear indication that Black Heart's our most appealing subfaction.

It's an Archon, Lhamean, 3 units of Mandrakes, 3 units of Trueborn and then 5 Raiders.

The real point of confusion for me is the Red Grief Airwing. Like... does that get you anything?

Ok, just for fun I had to see what the people were thinking...

17 Black Heart Spearheads - 3 ravagers and an arcon/muse/cunning
10 Red Grief Outriders - reaver jetbikes with a 20 man unit of hellions here and there
7 Black Heart Airwings- 3 razorwings to access the stratagem
6 Black Heart Battalions- self explanitory
5 Black Heart Patrols- 1 arcon/ 1 warrior. cheapest way to access the stratagem. mostly taken by eldar or yannari
5 Prophets of Flesh Battalions- wracks and grots!
5 Flayed Skull Battalions - no cover saves for you!
4 Prophets of Flesh Vanguards- grots and more grots
3 Obsidian Rose Battalions - self explanitory
1 Poisoned Tongue Battalion- thinking 20 man warrior squads here
1 Cult of Strife Battalion - poor guy's gonna lose.
1 Obsidian Rose Patrol - no good reason for this one... unless warrior squads hanging in the back with increased range.
1 Obsidian Rose Vanguard - trueborn with 24" blasters ahoy!
1 Obsidian Rose Airwing- not needed in the least
1 Black Heart Vanguard not a freaking clue
1 Red Grief Battalion - self explanitory
1 Red Grief Patrol - wanna bet that patrol has 12 reaver jetbikes?
1 Prophets of Flesh Spearhead - 3 units of talos!
1 Ynnari Battalion - yannari? Who are they?
1 Red Grief Airwing (?)- someone made a list while high?

above all in fun but I think I am spot on for most of them.

17 black heart spearheads, that's gotta be a bunch of players with eldar soup lists where the only dark eldar units they have is 3 ravagers, living muse archon and labyrinth cunning, not a fan of that at all.

I am surprised that there's a fair amount of black heart battalions, or than I'd expect to see. Sae with prophets of flesh, looks like covens are getting some decent representation.

Also interesting that there's almost no diversity in cult/coven choices. Everyone wants the +4 invul for coven units, and I'm guessing for cults everyone wants to run a bunch of reavers. Only kabals seems to have a decent amount of diversity, even got at least one poisoned tongue detachment.

Maybe he wanted to have 3 warlords and needed a cult detachment. Since no cult detachment really gives bonus to a flyer, he chose it for the succubus, to have the blood glaive relic.

But you can't take a character in an airwing... only flyers.

Whilst Black Heart Spearheads are definitely being used with Craftworlders, a lot of them are being paired up with Cults and Covens as well.

I'm not surprised at the Prophets of Flesh dominating, but I am suprised at how little Cursed Blade there is, or how much people are going for Black Heart over Flayed Skull for Battalions and the like.

I'm assuming it's someone who wanted to run pure Wych Cult.

There are only 3 cults detachment that are not outrider. It seems they only like bikes.

My Drukhari aren't at a painted stage adequate for a tournament, but I got my Hydras in my guard. Smile

Regarding Cults, this guy is going all in:

Outrider Detachment. Drukhari. <Cult of the Red Grief> 888 Points. +1 Command Point(<CotG> affects all below units) May charge after advancing and can also Re-Roll failed charges.
HQ1: Sucubus (50), Agoniser (4), Archite Glaive (0) - [54 pts]
TROOP4: 17 Wyches (136), Hekatrix (0), 14 Splinter Pistols (0), 13 Hekatarii Blades (0), Shard net and Impaler (5), 2 pairs of Hydra Gauntlets (Cool, Agoniser (Hekatrix, 4) - [153 pts]
FAST ATTACK2: 12 Reavers (228), Arena Champion (0),12 Bladevanes (0), 8 Splinter Rifles (0), 12 Splinter Pistols (0), Agoniser (Arena Champion, 4), 4 Blasters (1 on Arena Champion, 68), 4 Grav-Talons (Same models as Blasters, 12) - [312 pts]
FAST ATTACK3: 12 Reavers (228), Arena Champion (0),12 Bladevanes (0), 8 Splinter Rifles (0), 12 Splinter Pistols (0), Agoniser (Arena Champion, 4), 4 Blasters (1 on Arena Champion, 68), 4 Grav-Talons (Same models as Blasters, 12) - [312 pts]
FAST ATTACK4: 3 Reavers (57), Arena Champion (0) - [57 pts]

Don't have high hopes for that fat Wych squad sticking around after the first morale phase. Definitely a CP-use contender.

Wych Cult are heavily encouraged to run Outrider detachments, thanks to how many Fast Attack units they have access to. You're probably going to want to run at least three and a Battalion caps out at that number; additionally, taking three units of Wyches is quite a hefty tax compared to taking Kabalites or Wracks.

Reavers, Hellions, Scourges. If you're running Wych Cult at all there's a good chance that you're going to want to be including three units taken from those options, which makes filling out an Outrider very easy.

You might be making a joke about Hellions not being worth it but one of the GT Outriders did contain a unit of them.

Scourges, though, can be put into a detachment with anything, so using them to take up Outrider slots is a bad idea. 3 units of Red Grief bikes are an obvious go to for turn 1 charges though, I'm just not sure all these huge squads of 12 are such a good idea, they seem like target priority #1 for me.

Unless you want a huge blob to maximize Eviscerating Flyby. Then, fitting another Scourge so you dont need to pay for another unit could be worth it.

Well, he included dark lances in units of 5 Kabalite warriors so maybe it’s simply a mistake?

My list is Flayed Skull battalion, Black Heart spearhead and Black Heart airwing.

Who else here is going to the tourney?
