According to the rumours, those things will work for an Aeldari, and have rules similar to the oooooold Webway Portal (allowing units to deploy from it).

This is my worry, or if just just charge it..... The old WWP's were good b.c they were treated as indestructible and impassable terrain.

i don't like the design, too much craftworld. It's supposed that the webways portal were created by the old Aeldary empire, i would prefer something more Ynnari.

The portal must let to the aeldary DS on turn 1, if not is useless. If the aeldary start maybe the WWp could survive until turn 2, but if start the opponent, is imposible that the WWP could survive to 2 shooting phase.

This is supposed to be some of the rules

– There will be a Portal Fortification, 120Pts Not under 14HP 3+ 5++ T8, that you will set everywhere on the table but more than 12inch of enemy and more than 6 inch of objective, that will give the possibility to ds units from it, with a strat similar to necron if he is destroyed you can set them. After the portal is destroyed unit are not forced to be more than 9’’ to the enemy. Strongly implied that this unit will be available to aeldari.
– A warptime spell for Harlequin unit

25 pounds, 32.5 euros and $40. Honestly a pretty reasonable price for how big that terrain piece is, I'll likely be picking it up at some point.

Necrons has a CP that you use (1 per unit i think) if your vehicles are destroyed to still bring them in, i would suspect this to be the same.

Heard a Rumor on Reddit. Seems too good to be true, honestly.

It'll be $40 American, 120 Points, allowing units to deepstrike within 3" of it and advance/shoot/charge as normal.

Yes, but i read it will not work if there is any enemies within 9" (just like normal DSing).

I see this as a way to DS without using CP's, place it in your deployment with 2 RWJF's around it and come on with all your stuff turn 1 (like 3 Ravagers).

$40 is confirmed,

120 points T8 13 wounds and 3+ was the rumored profile from some days ago. The rumor also did say the portal must be deployed >12" from enemy forces and >9" from table edges.

I wouldn't expect it to work in any other way than how the Necron portal works, which is within 3" of portal and not within 1" of enemy models.

With Necrons, they all die if the teleportation sources are destroyed (rumor for the webway gate says they get to deploy normally). Necrons do have two stratagems that are useful in counteracting this; the first lets you set up one last unit when your last teleportarium (Scythe or Monolith) is destroyed, and the second lets you deploy a second unit whenever you teleport a unit. So you can save up to 2 units.

Yeah I would also expect it to work like the necron portal, I feel like the webway portal would be too easy to shut down if you could only use it when enemy units were 9".

I'm curious to see how many units you can deploy per turn though through the portal. Only one would be meh, and it is a pretty big portal so I'd like for more than one unit to be able to enter through it a turn.

On the plus side t8 13 wounds is pretty tough for a 120pts unit, won't know if it's worth taking though until we see how many units can move through it each turn.

Look at it this way, it will be fun to convert into a more Ynnari or Drukhari styled webway gate. Very Happy

The date in White Dwarf was apparently wrong, the pre-order's going to be on the 19th. Next week we'll start to see previews.
