Which single unit would you most like to see get some love in the new codex? For whatever reason, liking the model, fun to play, you've got too many that aren't used or you think they'd be a key addition to the army with a bit of a boost.

For me it's Hellions. Love the models, love the idea of them. Drugged up gangs on hoverboards hurtling round the battle field!
I'm gambling on it and I've just started painting a unit of 10, mostly because I just want to paint the models. But I do hope I end up with a unit worth using post codex!

The Archon. He should awake the fear over all the living creatures that have the disgrace of be in his presence. He is the ruler of a cabal, he has the power of destroy worlds, he is an epitome of what all dark eldar wants to be.

If we have back to the 5th Archon, i'll be happy.


And i have 5 Archon, thats another reason xD

Wyches and Bloodbrides. And by extension the Succubus.

Have 40 of them, got into the army to play a wych cult. They have been useless for years.

Reavers, yeah. In 7th I used to play 3*6...

Other than that, I've always been looking for an excuse to get into Coven stuff, but right not it isn't exactly very sexy...

Grotesques, i rarely got to use Grotesquerie in 7th, but it was awesome.
Now, in my humble opinion, they seem to do nothing at all.

Voidraven bomber. It’s the closest thing to a centerpiece we have, but still doesn’t quite pack the punch I’m hoping for. The bomb still needs more power. And stock missiles.

I love all things covens. They just have such amazing unit designs - I've got a ridiculous number of wracks that are all in varying stages of assembly, because they are just so poor compared to Kaballites. That being said I also would love to see Wyches get a bit of love.

If we have back to the 5th Archon, i'll be happy.

My preference would be the 5th edition Archon, but with the option for Wings, Jetbike etc.

All coven units, pretty much. But I'd really like Wracks to be given some love, assuming the other units are at least decent. They've always been pretty weak, never survivable and never hard hitting. Also, they are one of my favourite units in the game; survivability, power, mobility and no frills for a low price is what I live for. Plus, awesome models and fluff.

Raiders and Venoms. Baseline, I should be putting them on the board at about 70 and 50 points respectively, with additional wargear not going above about 90/65. At their current points cost they're an investment with the strange side effect of being too expensive for the units they're intended to benefit. For instance, Wyches are disposable melee tarpits. But in order to get them where they need to be, they need a Raider. That Raider however currently more than doubles the cost of the Wyches it's transporting.

Lower points on transports also means excessive redundancy would be a valid strategy again. One of my favorite lists in 7th was the parking lot, which was comprised of between 12-16 transports, all identically equipped and loaded with identical troops. It was a target priority nightmare and I loved it.

I agree that transports need work, but not only in pricing. I think they should focus on different aspects. The Raider should gain options to support the units inside. Trophies, Racks, Sails... what have you. The Raider should be a tool you customize in order to boost the unit inside, be it with moral debuffs, twin-linking or better speed.

The Venom on the other hand is just a gunboat that happens to be a taxi. To make it viable... they just need to make the splinter cannon viable. Bringing it down to 10pts, or making it wound on 3+, or giving it assault 6 instead of RF 3... all those options would make the Venom a lot more interesting.

I'd also suggest upping the Venom's transport capacity to 6.

In the fluff, Archons often use them as personal transports for them and their favoured warriors. As it stands though, Archons can't use it with Trueborn or Incubi, because there isn't enough space.
