Also, in the part near the end when it asks for suggestions, it would be a good idea to (politely) request a better level of rules and model support for Drukhari.

I suggested to better understand the less played armies, because they are difficult armies to design.

I suggested better inter-codex balance

For the first question "where did you hear about this survey?" it would be nice if you were to say http://www.thedarkcity.net/

Maybe if enough people write "thedarkcity", they will start to follow the forum and understand what goes wrong with dark eldars.

In the last question I elaborated in great detail that there is a big disjoint between the designers and the community. I suggested them contacting the admins of the dark city to get an impression of the state of our community. It would be great if more people could repeat this.

I also want to see the codex format die and be replaced with faction-specific campaign books and see ALL rules shifted to an online platform. But I know this is a very far stretch.

Or they will give Count Adhemar a pre-release version of the rules provided he becomes a 100% cheerleader of what is coming up!

This got a legit laugh out of me.

I made sure to toss a few plugs in there for TheDarkCity.net

My suggestion at the end for them was to try to focus on creating some fairness in their approach to rolling out armies, models, and the effort placed on developing rules, codexes, and models.

...I mean for crying out loud: Space Marines and CSM are STILL receiving new models 5-6 months after release. Frankly it is a slap in the face to any large army who hasn't received a codex before SUB-faction SM chapters.

Lol was gonna post to here but you all beat me to it.

I linked back to our letter to them again and talked a good bit about the need for better balance without rules bloat

Is there a social media platform you use that you would like us to be on?

"Have official accounts on dedicated 40k and faction specific forums, for example http://www.thedarkcity.net, that you use to interact with players that aren't necessarily heavy facebook users but are still passionate about the game."

If Games Workshop could do one thing that would make collecting, building, painting and playing with our miniatures more enjoyable for you, what would it be?

"Make a fluff accurate Drukhari codex that is both internally balanced to allow all unit choices to be valid, and externally balanced to allow it to compete with other top tier armies at tournaments."

Is there anything else you would like us to know?

I'm basically using what SushiBoy013 said here.

"It would be great to create some fairness in your approach to rolling out armies, models, and the effort placed on developing rules, codexes, and models across all factions, not just marines/imperial players. More effort into good codexes and regular releases for all xenos factions could very well lead to them making more sales and becoming more popular with players. The likelihood of that happening without that support is much lower though."

I was surprised to see this survey to be honest, I answered from a more hobbyist point of view than a specific army player's view. Though I have to admit I did say "VVVVVEEEEECCCTTTTTT" and also asked for Khreadruakh and Morr (The guy's a beast and I've not finished the books yet so don't ruin it for me study Very Happy Very Happy )

Where's the love for Lady Malys? Anyway, I basically told them that it would be great to see an equal amount of passion across all armies in terms of releases, codexes and advertising, cause guaranteed the endless campaign of power armor has driven away potential costumers who would like to see a bit more diversity, case in point I had a friend who had looked into 40k before and turned away cause he thought it was basically just a game of different flavors of space Marine (not being able to see anything else) I got him involved by telling him about the xenos factions, he became genuinely interested when he heard about the dark eldar, but settled on starting a Tau army after seeing them ... And he's still on a never ending rampage about space Marines (chaos and otherwise) being bland ... don't mind the space Marine hype but I would love to see that much hype put into every faction ... Hopefully this survey opens the doors a bit in the development department of GW and gets them to focus on every one equally

I read somewhere that the Space Mehrines sales were superior to the WHFB sales (every faction combined), when WHFB was a thing.

It's their golden poney. It's stupidly easy to paint them, you don't need that many models to play, they are easy to find awesome (but very bland, i agree), and they almost always have been overpowered.

Sums it up pretty well. Marines have generally been the equivalent of bowling with the guardrails up.

Aye bit wouldn't that make the enemies that forced them into existence all that more appealing? What was so terrifying to fight that it called for "unkillable" super human mutants to be made? Tyranids hadn't invaded the galaxy yet (I'm pretty sure they showed up 10k years after the Horus heresy) and the necrons might have started awakening but they seemed to be a bit of a shock as well (again not till after the heresy), Tau were a relatively new threat along with tyranid and we're for the most part left alone (warp storm I believe) which basically leave the Aelidari (both craftworld and dark eldar), Orks, and deamons. The space marines were created to LEVEL the playing field or give a small leg up ... And by all accounts they didn't quite do that, the enemy was to good for them otherwise they would have successfully purged the galaxy ... I can understand why chaos is up on a level footing as half of the space Marine chapters fell to chaos but honestly ... Why aren't the xenos races not on equal or better footing? If the space marines were supposed to be so good (as pushed by gw for sales and what not) why would (in terms of fluff) the primaris marines even need to exist? ( I know the real reason is just "ooooo look a new kind of space Marine to buy that's even MORE powerful that can join your already strong space marines!" ) ... Why even introduce the xenos factions at all if you are only going to seriously push and back space Marines ... Ah ... Mmm ... Sorry I went on a bit of a rant ... But it is a bit insulting to those of us that entered the hobby for something other than space marines ... Or the imperium and anti imperium ...

You need to separate the points level of the codex with the "actual" capability of each race to supply the troops and equipment. It's not because statistically, an army can field twice as many model than marines at 2000 points it means in the lore, the ennemy is only at 2 vs 1. Orcs are a lot superior in number than marines. But playing that game would be boring, because you would always lose. Same with tyranids. Same with the necrons. The imperium must fight everywhere, and stand their position, while the xenos concentrate on a few sectors at a time.

Filled out the survey took every opportunity to mention Vect needing a model and for them to give us the soul trap back to boost our archons strength, along with making the husk blade awesome again.
