 New Archon getting shot !

Hi there folks, how are you?
So I'm fairly new to Drukhari and trying to get a list and army together. I have a small close gaming group, 4 of us currently with intentions to expand out to meet and play other people but we're content between ourselves for the time being. My only issue is that all three of the other guys tend toward very shooty lists iron Warriors blowing stuff up, one guy on Tau, and the other on Blood Angels but he takes a lot of dakka with a close combat unit lurking about for when I get too close !
I don't mind list tailoring because as far as I'm concerned my 'meta' is all about the shooting phase haha

How can I combat this? I feel I just get shot to pieces a lot. Also what type of weapons should I be looking at to fight against marines and (majority) tau suits? Blasters?

Darklight.

Bring raiders with 2 5-man squads of trueborn with 2 darklance 2 blaster. Dissie on the raider. Dracons have splinter rifles.

Footslog a bare-bones archon over to an objective and have him hunker down, he's not bringing anything to the party.

That is how you play DE in this day and age. Deviate at your own peril.

You can also use deep strike scourges as dark lance snipers if the opponent has some annoying vehicules.

Voidraven bomber can do some decent job versus marines too.

If they aren't vehicle heavy (or even if they are) ravagers with dissie cannons, a couple Razorwing Jetfighters and a Voidraven Bomber would not be amiss

It might not be exactly what you are looking for, but I would add some more line of sight-obstructing terrain. Having places to hide tends to make this game more fun and it adds some extra decision making. As a bonus, it benefits assault armies which I feel are quite a bit below shooty armies in terms of power right now.

Dont forget you can assault with the DE vehicles, forcing units to retreat if they wish to shoot. Since you have fly you can leave combat and shoot either way on your next turn. Although preform this at your own risk. Learn what will kill you in combat and what wont.

De strength is that we are so cheap and shooty that we can shrug alpha and hit back hard with a beta strike.

Basically this means our cheap cost allows you to build in redundancy. That is why you see so many lists with 6 or more transports. Fill them up and go to town.

We wont really have more strategies until we get a codex, but dont underestimate the firepower you can get from kabalites and trueborn in transports. Its our signature move.

We are probably the most underestimated army in the game right now.

Get your people in boats. Venom and Raiders. Soak up the shots and close the distance.
I prefer to be a shooty army with my DE, too.
However, you can combat a shooty army with a more melee-centric force. Unload Incubi or small squads of Wychs (currently only good at tying up oppositional shooty units, imo) packed with a Succubus, Lelith, or Drazhar. None of them are amazing HQ.
Also consider going Ynnari a bit. You can run almost exclusively DE and see if their rules offset the getting shot upon problem.
And/or, splash in some Harlequin. Fast, evasive, punch hard in melee, and with Fusion pistols you'll do both melee damage and then punch big holes during your shooting phase, too.

But essential answer: put everyone in boats. No one walks in a DE army.

I agree with this completely, Incubi are great but against anything above par at melee, wyches will break against the tide. Chucking in a troupe and transport will not only get you a better invuln on the ship than your venom, but also a much harder hitting squad (fusion pistols and caresses are wonderful) and you can still dance in and out of combat.
