I would prefer to have them in seperate vehicles.
Probably one in a venom and one in a raider shared by kabalites/archon/wyches or such. Just to be able to put both units on different targets, and not put so much expensive guys in the same vehicle (same reason why I would not put 2 units of blasterborn in the same raider.

But considering your list posted earlyer without kabalites I think I would go for 1 venoms and shared raider, or lose a medusa and 2 venoms but it is a though call, and I am not sure about it.
also you wrote down twin splinter cannons (is that twin splinter rifles or a spinter cannon?)

I really like my venoms, but play a lot against orks/tau/nids all which do not have such a good bs and the -1 to hit is really great.

I vastly prefer 2 squads in a Raider. Venoms aren't cost effective.

I agree. Especially if you are looking for a transport the Raider will always win hands down.
There is an argument to be made that the Venom will be in Rapid Fire range after delivery, but since Incubi want to deal with good-save units Splinter Fire won't achieve much.

Also, Raiders are bigger, which allows you more options for disembarking. You can disembark from any point of the hull, which makes the size and shape of the Raider a big +.

I'm a little hesitant to put them in a Raider. You're paying a minimum of 295 points for what amounts to a boat made of 1 ply toilet paper.

You're losing 1-2 if the transport is destroyed en route too.

While i love the toilet paper/cardboard memes, they don't apply anymore to DE vehicles.
Although T5 is nothing special, almost every vehicle in the game gets wounded on 3+ by a lascannon, and we get something most vehicles don't get : a 5+ inv.
Our Vehicles are still vulnerable to massed small firearms (due to the fact that S3 is wounding on 5+), but against heavy AT guns ? They are tough.

1 raider is also 1 drop, 2 venoms is 2 drops, just some extra thought.

I tend to prefer melee in raiders, as the raider has a longer range, your usually dropping them off at the target you'll be charging. A venom would get 1 round of shooting then need to move on to get back into 18" range of a viable target.

A raider can drop off a better number, is more durable, and with a dissie or lance, can snipe things across the board.

Id use a tantalus!

But really it depends on your style.

For me, if I am running 10 incubi, I would want them all together. If 5 incubi could accomplish what I want to do, I wouldnt be running 10. SInce I need 10 if I am running 10, having them separated due to not being able to hide one of the transports would be bad.

Also, 8th edition means you can allocate those attacks however you like, no need to split squads to split attacks.

However, if 5 is enough for what you want them to do, and you are running 10 for redundancy, then yeah 2 venoms would work.

The tantalus though... nobody ever expects so many DE to pour out.

Yea I have a tantalus myself, I used to use an infantry heavy army and always had a bunch of warriors rush out of it. However now that I've switched to more feral (Read beast) and mechanized army I don't get a lot transport use out of it. That being said I do feel that the tantalus is easily the best transport we have for any large amount of troops that aren't scourges or mandrakes. Also I haven't seen any confirmation on this but the faq that stopped hellions from embarking on raiders and venoms apparently doesn't apply to the tantalus so it could even haul them around maybe.

You can field them without troops inside. Heck a Trueborn unit with 2 DL's is fun to do honestly.

You absolutely don't need to have a bunch of infantry for the tantalus to be worth it. The tantalus is a heavy support vehicle first over a transport vehicle. Its pulse disintegrator is nearly identical to a dissie cannon but the pulse has S 8 opposed to S5 and it fires 6 shots per cannon and the tantalus has 2 of them. It's also a lot stronger in melee than the rest of our vehicles too, and despite being the biggest it's also the fastest ground vehicle we have. Its degrading stat line is also much more forgiving than the ravager as this thing loses its wounds. Unlike the rest of our vehicles it doesn't struggle to do it's job when its low on health.

That being said it does have completely unbound possibilities for transporting our guys. as long as it has the infantry tag the tantalus can carry it without restriction unlike the raider and venom. So you can fill it up with a bunch of scourges with dark lances for the ultimate anti armor vehicle.

Good luck and let us know how it goes =D. From what I've heard from others who have tried to do this it apparently has a tendency to collapse under its own weight when you kitbash one together.
