 1500pts Wych cult.

First attempt at a Dark Elder list. Trying for a pure wych cult list
Does this look workable?
I have points left over for wych upgrades etc.

HQ:
Succubus 72 +1 attack
Succubus 72 +1 attack

Troops:
5 Wyches 45 +2 leadership
5 Wyches 45 +2 move
5 Wyches 45 +1 WS
5 Wyches 45 +1 strength
5 Wyches 45 +1 attack

Fast:
3 Reavers: blaster; cluster caltrops 110 +1 toughness
3 Reavers: blaster; cluster caltrops 110 +1 toughness

Heavy:

Dedicated transports

Didn't realize you were oka with ravagers, but I guess they are wych cult or kabal

Venoms are 95 with two splinter cannons. So I guess drop 1

I'd give your wyches hydra gauntlets, and agoniser unless they have +1 strength in which case power sword

Include what drugs everyone has!

Yeah at this stage. I'm going to try and convert the crew to wych's.

At the moment a lot of those wychs don't serve much purpose in my head. Just blocking units.

Was planing on keeping the venoms un upgraded.

Even in upgrades you have to buy one splinter cannon, so then they are 80.

The wyches are the bulk of your army, I think they can be utilized better than blocking.with succubi they are decent in combat

Drop the caltrops for grav talons on the reavers.

Its the exact same effect but the caltrops require the opponent to fall back first, after he's had a chance to hit you in CC. Rolling Eyes

Im glad you have pts left over for wych and succubus wargear.

Okay. Thanks guys. Quartermaster has a few issues, I'll sort out the venoms.

I was a bit iffy about taking the Ravagers, but once I saw they could be wych cult key words. I thought I'd go with them. I might drop it for a Void Raven.

If you're okay with Ravagers, you need two at 1500. At least.

With those points left over, start giving the succubi/hekatrixes Blast Pistols, maybe wrapping the Blast Pistol hekatrixes in units of 10 instead of just 5. Agonizers (or Power Swords int he case of +1S wyches) for hekatrix is also a good idea.

Swap to Grav Talons on the Reavers, if you must absolutely take Reavers. The only difference between Grav Talon and Caltrops is that Grav Talons happen on the charge. If the unit with caltrops dies or your opponent doesn't fall back, it's wasted. That said, Reavers are super overpriced anyway, but if I remember from your other thread you wanted them for fluff reasons.

They apply when the reavers fall back. And since reavers don't have hit and run... yeah.
