Drazhar

Troops:
Kabalite warriors with blaster and PGL
Kabalite warriors with blaster and PGL

Elites:
Incubi squad
Mandrakes squad

Flyer:
Razorwing Jetfighter with 2 dark lances and splinter rifle

Transport:
Raider
Raider
Raider


The Kabalites go in the two raiders while Drazhar and the incubi go inside the final one. Mandrakes wait in reserves until a good opportunity to attack and the flyer goes around causing havoc. Do you guys think this is good? I would rather get rid of the mandrakes and get more incubi but I don't have any more :/

No, I'd keep the Mandrakes for their potential Mortal Wound output.

Baleblasts are good.

How big are the Kabalite Squads? If they're five man I'd say put them in Venoms and spend the spare points on another 2 Mandrake units. Baleblasts in high numbers are better.

How many models in each squad? Personaly, I think this list lacks any serious umph. I mean, you have some firepower and a bit of cc, but I think at 1k points, you don't have enough resources to go jack-of-all-trades list, I'd say drop the Incubi and get another Razorwing or more Mandrakes and go full shoota.

The Kabalites are both a squad of 10, then 5 incubi and 5 mandrakes. Unfortunately I only have one Razorwing and only one squad of Mandrakes. The only other units that I have are 10 wyches, Archon, Haemy, 5 scourges and two venoms. So I'm fairly limited on what I could change I guess.

I'll actually be using this exact list today so I'll let you guys know how it goes.

I should also note that I mainly created this list to test Drazhar and the incubi together as I have't used them at all in 8th. I think it's definitely worth picking up more Mandrakes, the guns are so powerful.

I'd probably do something like the following - but would change roughly on what I was fighting.

- You've got Drazhar + the Incubi flying in on the Raiderbus.
- Two groups of Trueborn mooching around in Venom's spitting out some abuse.
- Few Dark Lances across the raider/troops, supported by lots of Blasters.
- Distegrator's on the Razorwing Jetfighter for anything grouped and with a reasonable save

That's a nice write up, thank you. I'm not sure if it's just a bad experience but every time that I've run venoms in my lists they always seem to blow up in one turn. They do seem like the ideal transport for Trueborn but I just feel that they are to fragile for the elites inside. I will most likely need to do some more test games with them as I'm always seeing them being recommended.

Venom are more resilient now, thanks to the 5++ and -1 to get hit.
Also manage to get them off line of sight most of the time, offer more tempting targets and you should be good to go Wink
