I know I'm missing something somewhere.

Death Is Not Enough -
"If any models flee from a unit in the same turn that is has been attacked by this model, then you can choose the first model that flees instead of your opponent choosing."

Falling Back -
"Units starting the Movement phase within 1" of an enemy unit can either remain stationary or Fall Back. If you choose to Fall back, the unit must end its move more than 1" from all enemy units. If it Falls Back, it can not Advance, or charge later that turn. A unit that falls back also cannot shoot later that turn unless it can Fly."

So, what exactly is the point of Death is Not Enough?
It doesn't seem to actually do anything.
Choose which model Falls Back first? There is no significance to that at all as far as I can see.
I MUST be missing something, right?

Normally your opponent chooses the model that flees (ie which is removed as a casualty). In this case, you get to choose. So the Sergeant or heavy weapon etc can be taken out instead of a grunt.

You are getting the fall back movement confused with the moral check fail that causes models to flee.

If a death Jester hits a unit (which he will do 5/6 times he fires a shot) then, should that unit fail a moral test, he may chose the first model that flees (i.e. dies in the Moral phase).

This can be very useful for neutering a 10 man tac squad with a missile, or a flamer before a charge in a 30 man infantry squad.. etc.
