Would love too see how they look if you have a picture. You get what, like 15 bases?

Just order 2 boxes of Zombicide Murder of Crowz, 30 Models.

Let you guys know how they are when they come in, estimated on the 12th at 7pm.

I'll let you know right now. I have two boxes of the Zombiecide crows as we speak. I got them for 7th Ynnari shenanigans and found that I like the Khymera dogs better.

These models are soft "rubbery-plastic" - a lot of bend. And since they are soft the details are sometimes equallys soft. Think the Reaper Bones line. Pretty similar. The base is roughly 25mm and would be difficult to cut off. Better to glue the whole thing to a 40mm base and build up base terrain over the molded one on the birds.

Otherwise, if I get a huge bug up my butt for more (unlikely but this thread is turning me on), I wouldn't hesitate to pick up another box. Cheap, cheap, cheap. And they look pretty decent on the table. On 40mm, a batch of 10 of them - every time my opponents would go, "what the hell are those?" straightaway.

OK GUYS! LISTEN UP!

I got 30 Flocks i (will take pics later just got home from 12hrs of 8th games!)

I did a stupid gimick list that was basically

3x10 Flocks
2 Beastmaster
2 Cronos
Haemi
Yncarne
Filler for the rest

The 30 flocks DID AMAZING for how sh!ty they are.

The 6+++ from Yncare didnt really help to much honestly.
The Re-rolls hits from Beastmaster were needed and helped alot
The Re-roll 1's of wounds were needed and helped alot
Note* Can be played without these, they just wouldnt do as much damage, in the future i'm going to not bring the Cronos for something that might do move damage over all.

I went against Nids, my Flocks killed over 90 gants (he was running a Re-birth theme list with 2x30 gants and 2 Tervigons to refill 20 gants a turn)
It tied up 2x30gants and 2 Tervigons for 5 turns!

I've rolled well over 1,000 dice that game with just 30 (because all the re-rolls...... so many re-rolls.....)

Final Conclusion, I will bring Flocks more often just NEVER to this extreme, the game was LONG, and annoying to roll 1000 dice -.-

i'll take them in 2x10 units in the future as screening/tie up/waste shots units.

Will have pics later time for a nap!

Not sure if the 'Nids have any snipers but how do you feel the list would fare if someone sniped out the beastmasters first turn?

Lucky im still awake (I guess?)

I would think they wouldnt do as well for sure, but thats what mandrakes are for to kill crap like snipers (I think im taking mandrakes every game now, they are really good, one of my other games i killed the sniper Assassin turn 1 lol).

If they had snipers i would try my best to deploy in a way they can live for 1 turn from snipers.

Depends. If Beasts will be my game, I will buy multiple of them.
If not, I will not cry if they will shoot my Beastmaster.

Another funny thing I got is that Beastmasters carry drugs as well. In the right list it helps to get 7 units with Drugs, so you can boost 2 units with the same drugs (Lelith and Hellions with +1S for example).
And the Beastmaster itself actually makes the +1Leadership Drug useful.

I thought it was +2 leadership

Played an imperial airforce list yesterday, 11 flocks died turn 1 but man they ate 44 hits for the rest of my army which was super nice

So what we have learned is that flocks are stupidly survivable and kill opposing chaff very easily. Just as predicted.

I will be ordering 120.

Before you go out an splurge on birds, keep in mind that GW is going to rebalance the points in a year or so. So if any of you win a tournament with a flock spam list, I predict that we are going to get a hefty point increase in our stockings for Christmas.

If I can get a solid competitive winning streak out of a flock of birds then I'm going to get my money's worth.

They wont rebalance flocks IMO.

They see it as "ppl are buying them? Ok thats 12$ per 1 sold item and they are buying 10!"

Haven't read all the thread, but the bits I have read have not said enough good things about Clawed Fiends. They are superbly points efficient against almost all targets (Flocks are better against Guardsmen) including vehicles, compared to our other options. That is either with or without a Beastmaster, but there are morale phase risks with no Beastmaster.

192 is unrealistic and unwieldy, it wouldn't work as a functional list because it'd be tripping all over itself and good luck distributing all those buffs with so many birbs.

120 is much more doable, but either requires you to take two of the Outrider detachment or dedicate most of your HQ slots and all your FA to the Beastmasters in 2 Brigade detachments.

30 is good for smaller games but I feel like we're going to see actual tournament lists with far more.

If I was a betting man I'd say somewhere between 60-90 is the magic number of Razorwing Flocks. 60 would cost less than a Knight Titan and could easily cause more havoc on the battlefield, while 90 would almost guarantee you board ownership at the expense of some firepower. Both are going to be around until at least turn 5 and both are going to deny your opponent the #1 thing that matters in this game. Mobility.

I don't think I can stress this enough, as this is the biggest reason why I think the Razorwing Flocks are so darned overpowered. Mobility is king in this new version, and the Razorwing Flocks have it in spades. Both the Fly keyword and a 12" move combined with their enormous board presence means they're faster than almost any footslogger and will be able to corner anyone who is faster than them. They can charge planes, they can drag units into combat, they can murder chaff like no one's business, and they just don't freaking die.

Hehe. Has anyone here actually bought the GW flocks?
The zombiecide people are going to get rich though.

Besides playing against an extreme flock spam list is probably not going to be very fun for our SM playing opponents. We all know what happens then. Wink

$18 a birb box is cheap. Too cheap not to have in my back pocket. I'm gonna buy a box probably every paycheck and just cancel my netflix or something to compensate.

30 40mm based birbs is going to be "a lot of models"

90 is going to be downright silly.

Yes, everyone so far (only played 3 games with them) but all had problems.

The BA player did the best against them, tho he had 2 Storm ravens, but that was PERFECT for me, b.c he shot them in stead of my Ravagers, Bomber and Raiders Very Happy

Also he only killed 8 with 2 storm ravens, 500+ pts killed 56pts!!

I got my box and put them on 40mm bases. They look excellent honestly. Just need to base coat, drybrush and add a little color to paint the birds quickly and then do some bases. RWF are going to be useful for so many things, not even in just spam mode.
