Shooting could still be a thing. A Haemonculus with a Hex Rifle can plink wounds off of him, and if one was not adverse to bringing the Clowns of Cegorach, a Death Jester might just turn the tide.

Wait... Hold on, I think I've found another GW editting problem... Scratch the order for a Death Jester, their Shrieker Cannons 'Shuriken' mode lost the Bladestorm equivalent rule. Honestly, its like they rushed these Indices.

The Bladestorm rule is stated next to the weapond and not the profile. So both profiles got -3 rend on 6 to wound

All we'd really need is to give the Haemonculus and the Cronos units 1d6 deny the witch rolls on casts within say 12" of them. I can't believe the Covens don't have null-psyker technology, you'd expect them to equip it themselves (as it's very existence compromises the power they've built up) and to stick it on their premier not-really-psychic buffing machines. Along with bringing more Haemonculai for more Crucible executions this should buffer the pure DE from psychic-heavy armies spamming Smite. If you want more than that then you have to bring in Farseers/Warlocks (which is easy now, if somewhat distasteful!). But pure DE need something to counter a whole style of gameplay they currently can't deal with. Shooting them with poison and lances isn't a solution because that's the default solution for all problems on the battlefield. Poison works well vs infantry, lances vs vehicles but neither works well against psykers hidden behind screens.

We don't get to play with psychic toys but we should have an answer to them, even if it isn't the best counter in the world.

We'll probably get tools for it with the real Codex. We, and everyone else, lost alot of neat things and tricks. So i think we'll be fine whn the beta period ends

You think multiple Haemonculus aren´t good against that? It´s a 24 inch bubble after all. Doing that twice or three times might do some serious damage to the enemy´s psychic capabilities. And they are decent in cc.

Check the Death Jester Unit sheet.

Check the Harlequins Wargear Sheet.

Check the Unit sheet of any Shuriken toting Eldar model.

Check the Wargear Sheet of the Eldar.

RAW, Death Jesters do not have the Bladestorm equivalent rule on their Shuriken Cannons.

So, I'm not sure if you are kidding or are just missing it. On the Death Jester's sheet, right below where it says "Weapon Range Type S AP D Ability", it gives the exact same description that other Shuriken Cannons have listed under the "Ability" header. Its just that since this has two shooting profiles, they did not put it under the Ability heading but instead put it right next to the words "Shrieker Cannon". I'm not sure if I am allowed to type exactly what is said right next to those words, but the second sentence matches exactly what is said for Shuriken Cannons on other sheets.

I mean... i dont even understand what rule you're reffering to then ? Must admit im not a CWE player but isn't bladestorm the "on 6+ to wound, have ap -3 or what not" rule?
If it's not that rule then no, he doesn't have it. But neither does the CWE either. If it is you should perhaps look a bit closer ? Or as clarafication, is it the rule in the picture you're reffering to ?

So the Haemonculus "MAY take a crucible of malediction" but it is not listed anywhere except the datasheet. It isn't 0 points it just isn't in the book.

Free?

The words "may take a..." makes it sound like a piece of equipment. I'm not arguing with you. I'm just wondering why GW did it.

I'm assuming they simply forgot to put a price on it. I'll take it for free though!

I dun goofed.

My bad.

Not reading things right.

You are correct.

New Shrieker Cannon is actually better as both profiles benefit from the 6+=AP-3 thing, rather than just Shuriken now.

We'll leave it at that?

The new eldar psychic powers are pretty flat, to be honest. Paired with the new targeting rules, it's very underwhelming. At least from CWE, I don't think we really have to be too scared of psychic powers in this edition, unless it changes a lot with codex updates.
