Very nice ESE, you must be proud of what you've accomplished sir, hats off.

sKP.

Thanks! It's been a labor of love. I paint a ton of stuff, but I always come back around to my evil little sadists with pointy everything Razz

Finally finished the assembly and got a little basecoat on this damned thing:

This was the fourth time that I'd tried to put it together in the last two years. FINALLY worked. Funny thing is, it will take me way less time to paint it than it did to assemble it Mad

That thing needs to be re-designed by Forgeworld. It is beyond painful brutal to assemble. How the hell did you get into stand on such a small base? I had to get this big honking wooden base to counter-balance its 25lb torso...

Looking good though my man, can't wait to see it finished!

It's the 160mm round by GW with a 3/4" thick slab of Super Sculpey on it. Weighs quite a bit and keeps it steady. I do the same thing with my Imperial Knights, adds a ton of weight to them Twisted Evil

Isn't that anorexic? Or is that the norm for Eldar. Or overweight?!?

Haven't posted here in a while as I haven't had any Dark Eldar specific things and I'm sure people are tired of looking at CWE stuff Razz

I'm planning a big revamp of my DE in 2016. I plan on adding units and going through the old painted models to revamp/update/repair them. This army hasn't seen the table as much as it should since my daughter was born and I'm really looking forward to updating them.

Speaking of the table...I'm painting terrain in a an abandoned Maiden World or Crone World theme so that I can use them for games with my DE/CWE/Harlequins/Corsairs. These kits are from Brush4Hire. I'm not a big MDF guy, and the pictures on the website were OK at best. The paint jobs really don't do the models justice. Really happy with how mine turned out. Terrain is such a weird thing: I rarely paint it, but when I do I always have an absolute blast Razz

I have the walkway set and landing pad from the line that will feature here in the coming weeks.

These look fantastic, ESE, like you I am typically not a great fan of MDF. I checked out their store last night after you initially messaged me, and I was pleasantly surprised at how relatively cheap they are.

Dumpster-diving Canadian dollar notwithstanding.

Absolutely legendary man. Killed it as usual. Absolutely gonna pick up this set after seeing your work here. It'll be nice to have some counts-as Void Shield Generators especially on the cheap!

Can't wait to see what you're gonna cook up for your DE this year. Also looking forward to see how they perform in games as you've mentioned a couple of times tryng to get back into tournament play. Anyway keep up the great work man.

Looking killer ESE. The warlock purple on the canopy just looks dynamite. Nice job on the alternating black and white on the ends of the wings too. I absolutley love that kit, goes together so much nicer than the Razorwing.

Have you gotten a chance to take yours out on a test drive yet? I played mine for the first time 2 weeks back side by side with my Nightwing and it was a pretty nasty combo.

Anyway great stuff as always man keep it up

TBH, it has suffered from SFS (Single Flyer Syndrome) every time that I've used it. Pretty much done a hull point or two before getting shot out of the sky. With my DE (only army with multiple flyers) I've always had the experience that one flyer a bit meh, multiple make each better exponentially as you add them.

This sounds like an excuse to buy another Razz

5 days? Really? You're despicable.

I intend to work on my Razorwing for at least a year.

You'll really hate me now. The Wave Serpent in this pic was painted in 24hrs.

No, it's fine, I was prepared this time. I've constructed a small table, so that I can flip it at times like this.

Wow, haven't posted here in a long time! I'm back to revamping my DE with new units and touchups on some old models. Starting with some Coven units.
Raider pilots WIP:

More soon.

Nice work on the Raider crew. Liking the texture on the Wrack's skin.
We will be seeing a Grotesquerie anytime soon? Great to see a return to the True Kin.

Thank you for the kind words. I'm about halfway through the last three Grotesques for the formation, can't wait to try them.
