Hi Guys, not sure where else to put this. It's not really a project log as the army is 95% complete. this is the army I'm taking to ToS October 2011. I've been working on it through the year adding bits here and there to get to 1750 points. It's at tble top standard, but could certainly be improoved on with a bit more work, but I'm a gamer much more than a painter. See what you think anyway.

It warms my heart to see how many older models you have in here.
Is that one of the old 'blown back hair' heads being used for Sathypants?

It is indeed. I was hoping to convince my wife to make a cloak for him out of some old material we have lying around, but that hasn't happened yet.

I have loads of the old models still in use, all my warriors, incubi, reavers are last edition. My old metal wyches now serve as bloodbrides and I have a few old mandrakes, talos and archons kicking about as well.

Good to see some classic models in there. They still look awesome. I'm liking the classic raiders converted to Vemons, they look like the one-way shuttle they are.

Well I finished 3 W and 2 L.
I lost my first 2 games and then tabled my next 3 opponents.
I'll do a very small bat rep later on, but lets say I'm now having some serious doubts about the value of such a large group of Hellions. Beast unit rocks.....seriously.

Won best DE player, 4 wins 1draw that would have been a win if I had remembered to move my skimmers to contest an onbective in the middle game, a hairs bredth from max points, could never have won overall anyway because of how the necron players results were spread.

I got stitched up on the best painted too, did not even have a nomination to go in the cabnets so people could actually see them....

Well done on the best player, I came 6 th out of 17 or 18 DE players I believe, there were a lot of us.
I made a couple of mistakes in my first two games, but believe that with even average rolling I could have won them. Seriously 5 pens on a Lemon Russ to roll 1's and 2's, 8 lance shots at 2 Vendettas and I don't even get to roll on the damage table, that cost me game 2 right there.

Yeah Necrons, best overall who'd have thought they were still capable of winning tournaments, but thats Throne of Skulls for you.

They are not, its the way the scoring works, only three necron players and I think one essentially lost all his games, I shot 20 plus lances into a dred in the open, one wep destroyed, thats lances, ie crap for ya, I had even worse luck in my last game (which I won) incubi plus archon charged a unit, his character passed 4 4plus invuls to not get husk/trapped and the incubi squad inflicted a single wound.....

Sorry man, my sarcasm factor obviously wasn't turned up enough in my last post.
I tabled one of the Necron players in round 4, the scoring at ToS is totally skewed in favour of small representation armies.
