PostSubject: Void shields   Sun Jul 31 2016, 08:39

So I played against an eldar army the other day that's had a void shield in it. It's a vagina, but is there a reason why we as dark eldar haven't thought about utilising then for our own cause? It helps tobkeep our vehicles alive, ones that are much more suited to long range combat at least, so venoms and ravagers depending on the situation. Yes if your opponent he's within the 12" bubble of the shield it protects them as well but if they are that close...well things get interesting to say the least. Void shields can't be hurt by grav, guass and haywire so a lot of heavier weapons will have to focus on taking out the shield.

Yep. Void Shields work simply by an armour value, which Grav, Gauss and Haywire can all work quite well against.

Then the guy you played was cheating I'm afraid.
Void Shields are a basic armour value of 12. Beyond that they have no special rules which make weapons weaker, or anything like that.

Along with the GW FAQ's confirming that these weapons work as described

That being said, Void Shields are still good. I've used them with no regrets.
