So I've been requested to field a Corpse thief Claw to face off against a tournament elder army. In looking for ideas on how best to field the unit and what else to include on the army. So far what I've got is a list that comes to 1813 so have some points to spare to reach 1850.

RSR
Lhameans (10)- she is going I stay in reserve or hiding out of sight kissing her ass goodbye

Warriors x5, Venom with cannon. (105)
Warriors as above
Same again
And again

3x reavers with Claptrops (63)
Again
Yup
Another
You guessed it
And another for good measure
(6 units of 3 reavers with clatrops for msu. May spend extra points for heat lances)

Corpse thief Claw. 5x haywire. (650. These are gonna be needed for dealing with armour)

Dark artisan. Sump and Wwp on heami. Heat lance in talos. Sprit probe on chronos (353)

This is what I have sorted out for now. I'll be facing this list

Aytarch- jetbike chainsword banshee mask?
3x jetbike with scatter lasers (times 3)
3x jetbike (time 3)

Warp hunter
Warp hunter
Warp hunter

3x 3hornets (times 3 again)

The dark Artisan Haemonculus must be the warlord. Well...not must. But should be.

I'd think about adding Phantasm weapons to get rid of the bikes. Don't forget that they are damn fast. Maybe a archangel bomb?

The corpse thief claw is kind of useless against that enemy. It's just too slow. But this is just my two cents.

But since you have to use it, maybe use it as a distraction unit? Stay in cover as much as possible and advance towards his void shields to built some pressure.

The Dark Eldar Codex sucks. You probably won just because your enemy loaded his dice to loose. Never forget this mantra and spread the word. Mention it in every discussion possible, people can´t get enough of that valuable information and need to be reminded regularely.

If he does what I think he'll do, those bikes will be in reserve. Maybe. Id doubt it but IF they are, think my plan is to move and flat out to get as close as possible with the venoms and reavers to deny him movement of his vehicles (he's got a habit of forming a castle) while the CtC moves up. Once things are close enough well, we'll see what happens lol

If those bikes are on the table then I'll be going for them first and using my reavers to hit objectives.

It's just a heck of a lot of armour
