Playing against a khorne demon/csm army this weekend.  Lost against him this past week so i gotta get some payback.

Heamy goes with the cast, autarch and farseer roll with different grots.  Only the grots, windriders and artillary start on the board.  Everything else deepstrikes.  The cast comes down with the heamys wwp, the 3 swooping hawk aspect host is to kill the landraider I know he is bringing and also pop transports t2 for the grots to assault.  The hemlock wraithfighter just does its thing.  It will be held in reserves intentionally if possible until AA is destroyed by the warp spiders or swooping hawks. 3 psychic shrieks.  No Archangels or DE allied formation because unfortunately at the moment I dont think Ill have many targets that are not fearless or "they shall know no rules".  In larger lists I would like to add a corsair prince with the armor of misery to ride with the farseer and grots for -5 ld shrieks.

I really like the list and wouldn't change anything except the way you intend to play it. Instead of putting the farseer in a different unit, I'd plan on putting the farseer with the cast too, in order to form a mini-deathstar.

This is how the psychic rolls would go:

Start with the farseer rolling 1 dice on telepathy. If you get invisibility, roll another dice on telepathy and swap it for shriek. Otherwise, swap the first dice for shriek and roll the second 2 dice on sanctic. Every power on sanctic helps the cast of players: Hammerhand +2S, Sanctuary +1 invuln, Gate of infinity teleporting, then 3 witchfires, one of which is a S5 2d6 assault NOVA power with AP5 and ignores cover.

Then you roll on the shadowseer's unique discipline with both of her dice. The primaris paired with invisibility or sanctuary will help make the cast "deathstar class" surviveable, and you have a pretty good chance at getting one of the 4 witchfire powers in that discipline(2 of which are leadership-based).

So you'd end up with 1 less psychic shriek, but you'd almost be guaranteed to have MORE witchfire powers, more surviveability, and you'd be about 40% to have a third power that is the leadership-based equivalent to psychic shriek.
