Pretty light on ranged anti tank. Your primary anti tank units, Scourges and Blasterborn, are quite short ranged and will be focused down in record time when they show up to deal with vehicles. I think at least 1 Lance Ravager would be a welcome addition here.

I'd drop 1 unit of warriors/venom, and swap out your Archon w/WWP for a Succubus w/Archite Glaive, WWP, and Archangel of Pain. 95 points is expensive for just a WWP delivery system on medusae. Right now, your 3 medusae are a 1 trick pony. Once their raider is gone, they're basically dead to any charge that makes it past their wall of death attack, and your archon will die with them. With this setup, you get a precision archangel of pain bomb paired with the precision medusae bomb for maximum alpha strike potential as soon as they arrive, and still have a competent AP2 melee combatant left when it's all said and done.

This just so happens to leave enough points to upgrade all 3 ravagers to triple lance ravagers without dropping the night shields on the medusae's raider too. Wink

I never run lance ravagers I much more prefer drowning people in waves of ap2 shots. I do like the arch angel idea. But with only -2 and 2 dice it's not likely to eliminate a whole lot

Fair enough. Then you can use the other 45 points to add blasters to 3 of your warrior squads for a bit of extra anti-tank, or whatever else you'd like.

Why wouldn't it eliminate a whole lot? You have to remember that it's 9" in every direction from your character, and you have no-scatter deep strike, and direct permission to pre-measure. It's entirely plausible to fit 4-5-6 or even more units in that 18" bubble of effect. All they need is a toe in the soup to be forced to test. It's over triple the size of the apocalyptic megablast template in total area covered.

If you're hitting 1 unit with it, sure, I'd agree with you. But I've used tons of novas and AoE bombs like this with no scatter deep strike, and I'm almost always able to get a pretty fair number of units in the effective area. It's not going to single-handedly destroy a bunch of different units, or even 1 whole unit, but it may cause enough damage to 2-4 different units to trigger a morale test, and end up making 1-2 units fall back. Against certain armies, like Tau, it can be a game ending beta strike on turn 2 when it arrives. It can cause enough wounds against their low leadership to cause their entire army to flee.

Remember to fire all of your anti-tank at the vehicles before you blow the archangel. You might end up with more applicable targets in your AoE than you had when you originally deep struck. Good luck, and let us know how it goes! Wink
