Has anyone ever seena decently done lightning effect?

And to clarify, I don't mean lightning painted on a surface, but a decent looking 3d modelled lightning. Say for example if I wanted to model a Psyker shooting lightning from his hands.

Looking for inspiration.

Thanks.

I think that there are people modeling the lighting effect using wires and green stuff.
I have seen this Njal miniature manifesting a lighting power.

Indeed. If you look at a picture of lightning in a storm, you will see one bold, steady arc that reaches from sky to ground like a steady beam with eruptive sparks coruscating around it.
