How do you guys transport your scourges?

I'm presuming most or all of you use foam, but I'm really interested to know what size/shape foam you use. Thanks to ebay, I now have 15 of the little bastards, and their protruding wings, outstretched legs and (in several cases) long guns make it impossible to fit them into even large squares of foam.

So, how do you guys manage it?

Box, layer of foam on bottom, packing peanuts, layer of bubblewrap on top. Seems to work pretty well for plastic models. Not so much for metal...

KR Multicase have foam cut specifically for various GW models, including Scourges (DE9).

Interesting. The only annoyance is that it seems like a lot of wasted space, but perhaps that's inevitable with scourges.

Oh, agreed. Worse are the jetbike and hellion trays.

That said, they also do pick & pluck foam if you want complete control over space.

I used magnetized cases. Old bank bags with metal sheets in the cash boxes, and magnetized minis. I've even had my toddler push my bag out of the van, tumble end over end, and still not dislodge anything but the Treeman.

Any chance you could post a picture?

I'm having trouble imagining what this would look like.

Here's a link to a thread on it, with some photos.

I know it looks a little rough, but at $3 per bag and $10 for the sheet metal, it's a pretty good deal.

Now that is some serious kit! All you need is a comical Nixon mask and a couple of replica Uzis and your Payday 2 TM cosplay set is complete.

To answer the original question. Pick and Pluck Packaging Foam in a Tyrant Army Figure Case. I purchased the case with my own selection of foam and got more foam from ebay later. Now my armies sit in foam trays on a shelf, and I load up the case with the trays i need whenever I have an away game. Also if you keep the foam bits you remove from the trays, you can use that later to create custom inlays for weirdly shaped characters etc.

What sort of shape do you use for Scourges? And, do you have them sitting vertically or horizontally, if you see what I mean?

The trays I got were limited in what shapes i could create since the pluck pieces were kinda large, so i have my guys standing vertically in a rectangle. Not the best solution since I can only hold 8 scourges and 2 reavers pr tray like that. But i usually run 7 in a squad anyway so it works for me.
If shipping had not been so atrocious I might have gone for something like this from Battlefoam.

Edit: for clarity, the Battlefoam guys wants to charge me 29£ for shipping to Norway.

I transport my scourge in GamePlus pluck foam. The 2" foam works well for most of the models (provided you don't have the ponytail head) but the pluck is nice to build spaces how you need them. ~8 scourge can fit into a tray (2 rows of 4) and works well. The nice things about GamePlus foam is that no matter the depth of the tray, it's just $9.99 USD.

I use foam for my Space Marines and love it. But when I tried with Dark Eldar, the little pokey bits kept getting caught in the walls. After tearing up my foam trays AND snapping lots of little pieces off the models, I switched to the magnetic cases and haven't had a broken model since.
