So I doubt I'll ever see one of these on the table in my verh small local meta. Despite that I'm still here wondering what we have in our arsenal to go up against this beast of a GC.

The best answer I can come up with is freakshow lists, but mono Deldar, I don't see anything dropping this.

Sadly I have to agree. We have nothing in our arsenal that is going to take that thing down. You're really looking at grav spam or D weaponry to take it down reliably. I did a quick mathhammer exercise earlier today and a similar point value of Venoms (6) with rapid-firing Kabalite passengers does less than 2 wounds to it. Dark Lance Ravagers (x5) do just over 1 wound/turn. Best option is Corpsethief Claw with Ichor Injectors but it actually has to get into combat with the damn thing first!

Agreed. Corpsethief all with Ichor injectors is the only hope we have, but they will never make it to that hellish contraption alive.
What sickens me to no end is that it is 600 points. Our corpsethief against that would be 700.

GW can kiss my you know what!

I hope it will get a D gun and stomps. Against my MSU I don't care too much but it will hurt deathstars, necrons and such. I'm more worried about those mean looking rockets. Seems like a super SMS of some kind.

Fighting against those mean big things like wraithknights and such is really simple. In a friendly game my opponents don't bring those and in tournaments I have some emergency wraithguard in a Raider. The bigger the target the better.

Like most Gargantuan Creatures, it's not that hard for a Freakshow to handle it.

Granted, it DOES look pretty dangerous. Seems like some allied Invisibility would not go amiss, and I think that if I do wind up facing it with a Freakshow, it's going to be the prime target for Dominate.

How many wyches can you get for 600 pts? You can just tarpit it.

for 600 pts, you can have 4 razorwings with 16 2+ poison missiles. I don't have my codex at work, so I'm not sure if they are fleshbane or just 2+ poison.

Take psychic shriek and the harlequins leadership test to kill it? It's fearless, so the Phantasm weaponry is useless Sad any other tricks?

K, I could also take 2 Wraithknights. Is there anything WE can do?

I'm thinking maybe grav-talon reavers in maxed squads?

They're fleshbane, however it has 10 wounds and 2+/4++ saves vs shooting.  If all 16 missiles hit, you'll do something like 13.3 wounds, but only 2.2 will get through the armor.  Then reduce it by another third cuz gargantuan creatures get feel no pain.

Upgrading the razorwings to dark lances might eventually bring him down, but at toughness 9...  I doubt there are enough turns in the game even for 8 of them and the occasional poison shot.

Soulfright weapons often are.

Psychic Shriek, Mirror of Minds, Dominate, Mind War, and Laugh of Sorrows in the other hand, work just fine on it. A Shadowseer with the Mask and an Archon with the Armor put it down to Ld 5. At that point, successfully casting Mirror of Minds would kill it with a 100% chance of success, from fresh to dead, and no hope of survival.

It's certainly fearsome, but not insurmountably so.

Don't think the Dark Eldar codex has something to handle it. Math sais for 625 points you get 5 ravagers. That's 15 shots 10 hits 6,6 wounds and 3,3 wounds after the 4++. So if it's so kind not to shoot back, you need 3 turns to take it out.

Well, like I said: Wraithguard
If you want to play pure Dark Eldar kindly ask your opponent not to be a d*ck.

It'd cost a lot, but Invisible units of Taloi could bring it down.

A boatload of Ossefactors could to it too, lol. lol!

I flat out wont play against it with my armies..seeing as I only have DE and SOB right now... refuse to play a SM list and my CSM got sold off because GW nerfed/effed them up so bad .......

I did do a little figuring and MAYBE the only way I could hope to kill it would be with 6 x exorcists in my SOB army all firing at it at once....mean while the rest of my army would be subjected to all the other tau shenanigans.........

I honestly hate playing against tau players.. they seem to be more power player then eldar players I know and sm players that take the cheese formations...

So this thing is a clearly a best, and we will have a very hard time putting wounds on it. But does anyone find it peculiar that in its rules under GC that stomp and FNP are not listed on the dataslate but are in the BRB.

Lack of FNP seems like an oversight. Stomp isn't there because it's not a 'special ability' conferred to gargantuan creatures. It has it's own subsection on the gc page in brb

Don't gargantuan creatures have Feel No Pain right off the bat anyways?

Gargantuan Creatures are conferred Feel no Pain through being Gargantuan Creatures, yes. It is on their special rules list on the Gargantuan Creatures page in the BRB. The Supremacy suit says it has the Gargantuan Creature special rules and then lists what those are, but forgets FNP.

I'm making the distinction because stomp isn't. Stomp isn't really a special rule to be conferred it's an attack type that GC's and Super heavy walkers just have and exists as a different line item in the entry for GC's and SHW's.

I have 2 tau players in my local meta. I am almost sure to see this thing hit the table. Basically, I will treat it like a Riptide, and go for it last. That's what the tau want, is for it to soak up fire. Kill everything else first, then throw as many Wracks at it as possible with Ossefactors. Poison weapons only wound GCs on 6s, and Instant Death only does d3 wounds. Fleshbane still wounds on 2+, and the Ossefactor is AP2, which only leaves that pesky 4++. Flesh Gauntlets are still possible to take this thing down, with d3 wounds every time a 6 is rolled, so march in the Grotesqueserie.

If you do that you get tabled turn 3 just by this thing. Because it got even more firepower than the rptide (massively more) and can splitire his bazillion guns. I also see no way how a Grotesqueserie will ever get close.

In my previous post I mixed it up.

That thing is obviously a titan. If your tau players want to play with titans take one revanant titan, put him on a landing pad and make him invisible.

I am curious to see if they still want to use it after that experience...
