I am painting two of the banners from the Raider kit for a Venom for Trueborn/Sliscus unit and am a bit stuck. the Venom that it is going on looks very much like this one color scheme wise, but will have black banners with teal-colored serpents(think evil Saim Hain symbol) in a colored field. I am stuck on which color to use for the field and would be grateful for any input or thoughts. The army is primarily purple/magenta with teal accents. I thought of using red, but it appears no place else in the army. I've used Bubonic Brown, but it seems a little blah. Ice blue? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If you want to keep the same colours, perhaps a yellow/brown looking like gold, or the light grey you use for the skin.

A white field with the dark purple would work I think.

@Lustingclaw-It really doesn't show well in the bad compressed photo but it is a teal Tamiya clear coat with Liquitex iridescent medium mixed in. It looks better in person. A friend and I agreed that DE were the only army arrogant enough to pull off flashy paint jobs on the battle field.

Can anyone point me towards a good tutorial on post pictures in this forum? I'm not savvy with the tech. I tried looking at Local Ork's post but it was a bit over my dense head.

The HTML is really nice if you know how to do it. Maybe L_O could elaborate on his thread because I would like to know how to do that kind of stuff.

I'm not quite that tech savy so the buttons make things work for lil 'ol me.

My first attempt to post a picture was a jumbled mess of addresses and code and finally a moderator just nuked the whole thread and told me to start over. LOL.

Hey lads! i'd say paint your Banner magenta and find a colour to break with the themme, maybe the green stripes to highlight it and add some pale blue or runes or tribal thingie.

All of the suggestions here have been fantastic. I really got stuck trying to decide on one of them and started painting a Ravager in frustration. I promise to have it up as soon as I settle on one.

Not sold completely, but I will be going with the Ice Blue shaded with purple field on a black banner to match the Blasterborn that are going to ride in it. (Really not keen on fielding Sliscus and Blasterborn any time soon any more)
