I sold some craftworld models today I don't use, and made $100.

It then occurred to me... I don't really need any more dark eldar. I mean, unless I want to run a corpsethief claw there are no models I need.

I picked up a chronos today to run dark artisan and I have all my grots, court, incubi, troops. Unless I just want more boats, which I don't really need...

We aren't like imperials with a whole glut of forgeworld to buy. Maybe I'll just... paint my army?

I don't know what to do and was wondering if other people feel this way and how they handle it?

For the record, I'm pretty poor, bought over time and I probably have 2k points ish. I just don't find myself needing anything else and I've been on the IV drip of GW finecast heroin (can I say that here? ) for so long that I just don't know how to feel.

Difficult to say really without knowing how you want to play and what you've got. I totted up my collection the other day and got to 3600pts, and there's plenty more that I want to get, probably double that, but then i do like to have enough options to play wildly different lists so my regular opponents don't know what they'll be facing - my marine collection is over 6000pts, and that's without the storm raven, storm talon and dreadnought I've picked up since Christmas.

Have you thought about any different mini games? What is active at your club/area?

I play infinity, X-wing and dreadball, and they all have a small buy in cost and are great games to play

If you haven't painted them I would recommend that. Also tournaments. Smile

Yeah for some reason I glossed over this. Definately get your models painted. It will give you a ton of satisfaction and your army will look and feel much better on the tabletop. Also some tourneys require a 3 colour minimum scheme on your army, so painting them is important if you plan to attend any Smile

Well, I guess when I have the $$ I need a couple more raiders, get some Wraithguard and run them as Castigators, maybe another box of warriors... I am not sure either, I can do about 2200-maybe 2500 right now.....

I may do some cloning vat work for some court minis for my Archons personal abuse/use.....

Oh and of course the BS baiting about plastic SOB's and stuff has come up again on BOLS..... believe that when I see it.....

Tournies blow in my opinion, everyone plays the stupid uber power lists,no real playing for fun anymore.... should see one of the latest Necron Tournament lists..... stupid...

I have been a SOB player since like 2001 also, DE since 2012? Since they totally dusted my CSM army(sold them all off save a squad or 2 for kill team or other odd scenarios...

I definitely say spend some time painting. I'm finally closing in on having all of my guys finished (DE are right at the cusp, and Nids aren't far behind).

I've also been kitbashing some Eldar Allies, because I like those. Have some conversion projects in the works.

Either way, don't sweat it too much. If you don't feel the need to expand, then don't.

If you have too much money on your hands and models to paint, maybe pay someone to paint some of your models?
Otherwise, how about flyers?
Or i have my eye on some models that are not DE i want to have just because they are so cool, and i'd like to paint them.
Wood Elf Tree Men for example.
And no i'm not a GW salesman Laughing

Well, what about a Revenant Titan?
Do you have a Tantalus?

Failing that, Harlequins.
They're new, they're shiny, and they are perfect allies for the Dark Eldar.

And based on spellcheck's suggestion of minigames, I strongly endorse Malifaux and the recently kickstarted Guildball (I think they're near completion at least - definitely funded).
